I'm so excited that my family will be leaving for Disney soon! This year, my sister and her husband made reservations for Planet Hollywood, somewhere that no one in my family has been. I keep hearing that Planet Hollywood is an amazing restaurant and that it's vibrant and detailed. I was wondering that even if I didn't have a reservation to eat at Planet Hollywood, if I could just go in there and look around. Thanks!!! :goodvibes

Yes! We have eaten there several times and there are usually people just walking around..checking things out.

Thanks! Are there souvenirs like at Tony's? Is it a small, cramped restaurant?

1) Yes, there is memorabilia.
2) And, yes, you can go in and just walk around.
3) In fact, go in and see things, then eat elsewhere.

Our Ratings of Planet Hollywood:
. . . food price value: D
. . . food quality: C
. . . food quantity per serving: C
. . . food prep speed: C
. . . food selection: B
. . . seating quantity: B
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: C
. . . eatery convenience: C
. . . staff friendliness: C
. . . staff helpfulness: B
. . . character interaction: n/a

NOTE: Lots of memoralbilia on the walls and
the pillars. The overpriced food ($13 burgers,
$21 fajitas, and $25 ribs) is highly mediocre.
The music level is so loud, it is hard to hear each
other talk. There are far better eateries. They
have free appy tickets at any concierge desk to
try to fill the place. Pass this one by.

Thank you so much for the advice! Now, I'm kind of glad that we booked reservations elsewhere, but I will DEFINITELY check the restaurant out! :thumbsup2

Sorry I can't really help you we tried to use our coupon but since we were on the dining plan they wouldn't let us. This was about our 7th time eating there and it will be the last for a while. Service and food were bad. Take a look around then eat at Raglan Road!!!!:lovestruc

Have to agree with a couple of the PPs. Rusty Scupper was right on with his assessment (as usual). Have a good look around, buy a souvenir if you want, then eat elsewhere. Many, many, many better places to eat at DTD.

You can use the coupon at the bar to get an appetizer before your meal, then just carry it with you to your table once your name is called. You can not use them together on one bill though. You'd have to use it and pay, prior to being seated.

I hate to agree though: there are much better places to eat at than PH. We never use the coupons that come with our pkg anymore.

Friends don't let friends dine at Planet Hollywood.

Cool stuff on the walls, bad food on the table.

Thank y'all for the advice!:thumbsup2 So far, PH has a great setting but horrible and over-priced food!

We've always had fantastic food at PH. We don't go there anymore though because we have two small children now and find it's VERY crowded and way too noisy.

The bruschetta there is by far my favorite I've ever had!

Despite the bad reviews back in 2007 during our first WDW trip...we ate there and it was really really good. We thought it was much better than any of the Hard Rock Cafe's we've been to and was as good as any other TS meals we had...including some restaurants that are hard to get ADR's for.

And despite the bad reviews still floating around...we are trying it again this trip...we have teenagers and they think its a cool place. Hopefully the food will be really good this time around as well.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of food do they sell? What kind of souvenirs?

Guess I'm not with the dis crowd.....but I love Planet Hollywood. It's not your typical quiet restaurant that people are accustomed to. It's filled with music and therefore, people are not quiet. It's awesome. I love all the stuff the have on the walls, hanging from places....so cool to look at. And I think the menu is great. Don't think it's overpriced.

The menu is not overpriced as far as I'm concerned. Apps are same price as anywhere else....basically $9 and salads range up to $15 but the highest are dinner salad size. And burgers while up to $15 are HUGE in size....like, couldn't eat the whole thing. And realisticly, ribs at $20, are no different than the Outback or Montana's. And pretty much taste as good.

And yes, I do eat here often. But, at home. I have one 15 min from my house. And prices for us are more expensive. Living in a tourist area the increase the price and make us pay a tourist tax. Love Niagara Falls:cool1: And we think it definitely worth it.

Wouldn't hesitate to eat at either location....Disney OR Niagara Falls:)

Thank y'all for the advice! I appreciate it, and I will definitely check it out!:goodvibes
