Planet Hollywood Reopening date?

Kinda wanted to do Planet hollywood but can't find any information in a reopen date? Think it been renamed.

Their website says it will reopen this summer sometime. No name change, other than it might be called Planet Hollywood Observatory.....

It may struggle some even after reopening what with the #of restaurants now in DD and the Springs.

By the looks of the restaurant right now, it will be a while before it opens. It appears as if it has months of work to go at best

Yeah, we saw it a couple of weeks ago, and it looked a long way from opening. It had giant holes in it...you could see all the way through the restaurant out the other side.

Yeah--was virtually empty the last time we had lunch there.

I guess the crowds vary since the last two dinners we have had there were jammed packed. With that said, I probably wont eat there again. A little too loud for me now.

We went at the beginning of May to DS and it had quite a ways to go. I can't imagine t being done in a month or two.

I think that shows the benefit of "captive tourist." Six PH's are left in the world (out of well over 100), all are in tourist spots.

I must admit I haven't eaten in one since the '90's, the food was always horrible (worse than theme park burgers)...but certainly it can't be the same 20 years later. I did rely on PH's in cities I lived and worked in to always have an open bar stool for when I wanted a drink....they were typically ghost towns inside.

At our last visit when it was still open, they had employees outside trying to persuade folks to come in.

Planet Hollywood was a fad that had it's day in the sun I am afraid.

I do hope the new place--whatever they call it--is a success.
