Planet Hollywood or House of Blues?

I got my choice for either 1 we have been to Planet Hollywood a few times it's noisy but we put up with the noise for the food an have gotten good service an good food everytime.

House of Blues we have never ate there stopped an looked at the menu a few times an kept going but always had DD with us who is a very picky eater an did not see anything on menu she would enjoy ...not for the price anyway.

We can get a deal at House of Blues...at Planet Hollywood all we got is our AP discount

We've got House of Blues planned for our trip in November. Really looking forward to it.
The one time we went to Planet Hollywood was our last. We thought it was horrible. There was no-one in the place and we waited forever for poor service and even worse food.

We ate at Planet Hollywood a few years ago, very disappointed in it - never tried House of Blues (yet), can't wait to give it a go though.

IMO, I was never really impressed with Planet Hollywood but have had several enjoyable meals at HOB. I think the atmosphere at HOB is also more "interesting." Have a great trip!

If offered this choice 100 times, I would choose House of Blues every single time for lunch/dinner. It has an outstanding kitchen, imo. The Ribs are absolutely fantastic if you prefer a wet preparation that falls off the bone. I have also enjoyed the Jambalaya (has a little kick to it) and the Elwood. Their merchandise is also a little less touristy.

Planet Hollywood is one giant tourist trap. It lures you in with the setting/location (its one of the first things one sees when arriving to DTD) and disappoints almost on all levels.

been to the Planet Hollywood at DTD but have been to other PHs in other cities. I have not been impressed to date. House of Blues on the other hand has some pretty good food and a fun atmosphere. I usually eat the shrimp po boy, cajun meatloaf or one of the burgers. Their side of rosemary cornbread is worth trying.

House of Blues. We've been to Planet Hollywood twice, once several years ago and we forgot how bad it was and once more recently. Will never go there again. The only thing going for it is the cool looking building.

We are going to HoB this year. PH was never a contestant in that decision. I have, in the past, enjoyed some lovely meals and great service at PH, but it really doesn't appeal to me anymore. If my daughter wanted to go, I would be quite happy to take her, but I suspect she will complain about it being too loud. I like to have a conversation over my meal. There is a difference between speaking loud and needing to yell at the person opposite you at the table.

Another HoB vote here.... I enjoy both places but love the vibe at HoB...
