Have had digital downloads from disney in past and no problem. Just opened planes DVD plus digital and 100% confused. How do I get onto ipad? I enter code but that jumps me to a page to choose either vudu or amazon prime. I am not a member of either.

Choose vudu. Create an account and load the Vudu app on the iPad. You should then be able to download and/or stream the movie.

I always put my digital copies onto my iTunes, is that not an option?

My son tends to delete movies often (autistic), and I just reload them with an iTunes sync.

iTunes not an option with DVD plus digital copy. It says u must buy the blu ray to get iTunes digital copy??? I am perplexed.

If you are not offered the itunes copy then you can stream or download from the Amazon video app or the Vudu app on the ipad. Both are free. Just choose one and then put that app on his iPad. Most companies now are giving an iTunes copy and a UV copy but not Disney. Makes it a pain to keep a complete collection all in one place.

OH! I always buy the blu ray with digital copy, and use iTunes. I did not realize that they sell 2 different types of digital copies.

Many of the recent Disney titles offered the digital copy only with the 3D DVD set, which REALLY ticked me off. I now have 5-6 3D DVD movies that I will never use.

You have to buy the DVD on iTunes then you are allowed to put it in your iPad. So do you have the DVD disc?If so, I think you can directly rip the DVD to your iPad. Here is a guide for you to refer.

For those not familiar with Vudu, it is an Ultraviolet-compatible digital movies service owned by none other than Walmart.

All you have to do is download the Vudu app from the App Store (iOS)/Google Play (Android), and you're all set.

A distinct advantage Vudu has over some of the other formats is that it comes already installed on many network-enabled Blu-ray players, which gives users the ability to view their digital library on their connected HDTV set.

Disney digital copies which are Vudu/Ultraviolet-compatible have been a rare sight (as Disney typically uses Apple or Windows formats), but I'm guessing that's beginning to change...

I have been following this thread since I have the same questions. But I am still confused. My DD and I both have Samsung tablets and windows 8 laptops.

If on the tablets I download VUDU can I download the movies to watch?

How about on a laptop? DD's notebook does not have an internal DVD/CD drive? I am a little scared for her to use an external drive in the car.

Yes. At home (or anywhere you have wifi) you can stream them but if you're on the road you can download it to your device to take along. It will still be in the Vudu app but on your device. For Amazon you can have two "hard copies" downloaded at a time. So if my kids have the copies downloaded on their Kindles I can still stream to my computer or phone. If I want a "hard copy" to take along I simply delete it from one of their devices and then download it to mine. Vudu pretty much works the same way I'm am just not sure of their particular rules.
