Last night it was decided that we are going to Disney in December.
I am in a panic trying to get plane tickets.

I thought I found Air Tran $69 last night. Today they seem to be well over $100. I am looking at 12/15 from Charlotte to MCO and then 12/20 from MCO to CAK(Akron-Canton) or Pittsburgh.

I am going earlier in December to FL and will drive up with the rest of the family. My tickets still seem to be in the $69 range from CAK to PBI.

Any ideas where to look for cheaper flights?

A couple of sites:

· Expedia
· Travelocity
· Kayak.com
· Bookingbuddy.com
· Orbitz

Also, I have found most of the best airfare information comes from the airlines themselves in the form of their e-mail listings. Join those of the airlines you are considering and you will most likely receive this information before it is published. Also join their frequent flyer plans. Although not as useful as they used to be, you never know when you might see a great deal. And they cost nothing to join.

Peruse a few Disney boards besides this one (The Best!! :goodvibes ) to see if other folks are posting about airfare sales. Check out the websites of the airlines yourself on a frequent basis. See if any discounts apply to your situation – senior citizen fares, AAA, etc. Check to see if flying through another city – with a connection – is cheaper (it’s not always cheaper, in my experience). Fly at “off” times. Fly from another airport that has more competition and/or Southwest airlines, which tends to lower prices considerably.

Unfortunately, your departure date may be a stumbling block to the cheapest of the cheap fares, but you should be able to find something reasonable. Fingers crossed that the oil/gas crisis passes us by quickly – for everyone concerned.

Beccasmom, Thanks for all the ideas! Every little bit helps!

I just used DING and SW to get our flight home from MCO to Cleveland for under $60 taxes and all fees included! :cool1:

Now if something would come up that flies out of Charlotte to MCO....then I will be happy! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

I still need something for me from CLE to PBI in early December but at least I have a start!

Has anyone ever flown Hooters Air? It is the only airline with a direct flight to MCO from ABE (I believe.) Are Hooters girls acting as flight attendants? How big/safe are the planes? Do people bring their children on these flights?
