Hey guys,

I recently received my tickets from Southwest, and I realized that I wrote my name as Matt instead of Matthew and my girlfriend's as Liz instead of Elizabeth. Do you think that this will be a problem with airport security since this is technically not our full names?

Also, in regards to anyone who used Southwest Vacations, it has a policy where you can't check in online. So can I go to the airport 24 before my plane leaves and physically check in at the airport to get my boarding pass?

Thanks in advance

Should not be problem on a domestic flight. Common nicknames for first names are normally understood and accepted, and will usually get by with no problem.

I don't think you can go to the airport and check-in at the 24hr. mark.

I tink it's like a 4 or even 3 hr before flight time to do so. It should be on their web-sight for Hard or NonEticket.

I would also call and see about changing the name . I know Nicknames are common but one TSA agent thats a stickler for the rules would want the ID to Match the Ticket and nothing else.

Call SW (even using SWV) has the best customer service around.
