Hey everyone, sorry this has been asked a billion and one times  but i have just been given my number for Virgin pre book seats. I am not 100% happy with the seats.

And my questions are:

When you do online check in, are more seats released then?

Is it 24 hours before you fly that you can OLCI?

If i have already chosen seats, but when i OLCI can i then change seats if i see a better option? If so how would i do that? Would i go to change seats, then pick then OLCI, or does it give you the option to pick seats when you are doing the checking in?

Sorry for all the questions, i did do a search on the forum for my answer but still didnt fully understand.

Thanks for the help everyone :) also i thought we were getting a new plane but when i went onto my bookings it was still the same one lol.

Thanks xx

when you do online check in you can change seats if there are any free, 9 times out of 10 there are

if you are still not liking the seats when you bacg drop you can ask them to see if there are better seats etc

we have changed our seats both anline when checking in and at bag drop

Thank you, that makes me feel so much better :) i will do online check in as soon as i can 24hrs before. ooh i am getting exited the holiday is getting closer :cloud9:

i always try and do olci so i can get the little group of seats at the front of economy that i can never pre book so i awlays try and get them

good luck, i have over 180 days still but cant pre book as we have 2 infants with us

Thank you, i am not sure which seats are best so its great to get advice :) ahh so the front seats only become availavle at online check in time :-)

yes the ones between pe and economy but they are also saved for families with infants and special assistance

I got allocated these seats (the first row) when I fflew to disney in 2009 as I was pregnant with my twins and needed the extra room on the hospitals advice

I have however got these seats during olci but that was in 2008 so if their policys have changed towards these seats it may be different and it will also depend on what aircraft is flying that day.

Also the seats are not guarenteed incase they have to change the aircraft last min

Thanks so much for all the information, to be honest i will be happy if we are all sitting together with at least one window seat, and not over the wings, so we can see the views. Main thing though is just sitting together :)

i'm trying to remember but i think its the left side of the plane that sees kennedy on the way in if you have a window seat, a good sight to see from the air

no problem, I used to work for the airline so know alot on how they work

ooh sounds good, my little boy Jack is so exited about looking out the window my daughter not so much lol
