Does anyone know if you can bring an inhaler (albuterol) on the plane? How about an epi-pen? 2 kids, 1 asthma, one bee allergy. I don't want to bring them on plane and then have them confiscated or check them and need them. Any help will be appreciated!

Yes - you can bring all of those things. Do a little research on your airlines's web site to see if there are any specific restrictions associated with them. For example, if you need to have a copy of the prescription with you or a note from your Doctor. (Doubt either is necessary, but it never hurts to check).

Best wishes -

You sure can. DD (16) has asthma that is exertion and smoke induced, and when she was younger we even used to bring her nebulizer. It was helpful because that was back when she was especially sensitive and even minimal exposure to smoke could set her off. It did get hand checked in security and we had a note from her doctor, but we found many security screeners even knew what it was. We had no problem with her inhaler either.

Yep, you can bring them without any problem. Obviously, you'll have to put them in the little plastic tray for x-ray, but it's not an issue. I carry my albuterol with me at all times and have yet to have a problem. I've seen plenty of diabetics with their soft-sticks, meters, insulin and needles all in their little travel cases go through without issue, and my Neice carries an epi-pen and it isn't a problem either.

No worries!

You won't have to put the albuterol or epipen on the tray if they're in a purse, backpack or any kind of bag....just if they're in your pants pocket.

Thank you for your replies. I haven't flown in 4 years, my children have never flown so this is new teritory to us!

Albuterol (ventolin for those in OZ) is always allowed on planes, as it is a small medicinal aerosol.
