DH, DD and I usually go to the World once a year in April and we love it-the weather's always gorgeous and crowds aren't too bad in our opinion. However, next year my nursing school schedule has us unable to go in April. We have two choices February (anywhere from the 20-March 4) or May (anywhere from 20-June 5). I'm assuming crowds in February would be high but are they higher than April (spring break crowds etc.) and May I'm afraid would be too hot for us. Our family doesn't do too well in the heat especially my daughter; she still has a bit of heat rash from our trip and the highest the temp was was 85.

Also we stayed at Pop and while we love the theming (great for DD) we found the rooms to be in desperate need of refurb and the bus rides to be a giant PITA since we were at MK almost every day. If I don't have to break down a stroller in .2 seconds again in my life I'll be happy! So we're thinking about staying at a Monorail resort or a resort in the Boardwalk area.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest checking the crowd calendar at touringplans.com. May is pretty hot, but the park hours may be better. We are staying at Beach Club next trip and it looks fantastic. My friend just stayed at Coronado and loved it.

Actually, as long as you avoid President's Day weekend, February to early March should be much lighter crowds than April (especially early to mid April).

May seems pretty heavy this year, though when I went in the past, I didn't think crowds were too bad until Memorial Day weekend hit.

I think I'd go as close to the first week of March as possible. Crowds should still be pre-spring-break light and "off season" ride/attraction closures should be minimal.
