This will be trip four to Disneyland for my daughter and me. Two were the whole family and last year it was just the two of us (I have four pre-kids trips under my belt as well). We have always gone for just a couple of days and just winged it... hitting the highlights, without diving too deep. This time, thanks to all of my husband's travel for work, we're doing a longer trip since were able to get our flights and five nights at the hotel for just $22.50!!

I had thought I wouldn't post asking for help until I had a firmer plan, but after a comment on another discussion, I'm rethinking my plan and decided to ask here first. We will be arriving around 6pm on Easter Sunday and leaving mid-afternoon on April 1st. I know that's prime spring break time in the area, since I talked to a friend of mine from HB and it's their spring break week. Besides taking an offsite day tour one day, we plan on spending our time at Disney.

I had originally thought that we would go to DL Sunday night just because we'll be hyped up and ready to get started. Monday would be DCA, Tuesday would be DL with MM, Wednesday day tour with the parks at night after we're back, Thursday hopping back and forth between the two to hit anything we had left on our list and Friday morning we'd wander around DTD until time to head to the airport. But in another post, it was mentioned that Wednesday was the best day in the park and to hit DL that day. What modification would you make to this plan? I really don't want to overthink this too much, but I don't want to make any obvious mistakes either.

Thanks!

Wednesday is the best morning, by noon, it will be like any other day. Wednesday is the best because folks fly out on Tuesdays, fly in on thursdays. On site guests are in DCA on Wednesday as they have tuesday and thursday to choose from for Disneyland. are you on-site or off site?

Thanks for finding this thread! It was your comment on the other thread that got me thinking. We're offsite, so we won't have any EMH.

so, you have to choose one day, Tuesday or Thursday for MM and other for the tour. This way, you have level playing field in Disneyland on Monday, tuesday and Wednesday. As for spring break, it is a very diverse two month event, so good planning would work around the daily crowds.

You bet....take advantage of the Wednesday morning at DL since you are staying off site.

We were there last year at Spring Break and did our offsite day on Tuesday and then back to the parks for the rest of the week.

Have fun!

I really don’t know what I would do on which day as we plan a bit differently. Monday is an early entry day at DCA, so you’ll be entering an already busy park. Just something to think about. We usually avoid the MM/EMH park in the mornings unless we are using MM. Wednesday is definitely a good morning for Disneyland, but you do have your MM to use on either Tuesday or Thursday, essentially an extra hour in the parks in what is one of the busiest weeks of Spring Break season. Ideally you want to have at least one rope drop at DCA and one rope drop (or MM) at Disneyland. As far as your Friday morning while waiting for the airport, you could do a character breakfast at one of the hotels for a last bit of fun.
