Hi crafty DISers! I'm a DISer, but not a crafty one! Could someone tell me where I can find a plain black Mickey head already cut out? I can't cut circles well so I want to find them already cut. I will be using them for my daughter's 1st birthday party invites. I was going to use 2 on a card. One plain and one with a red ribbon bow for Minnie. TIA!

How many do you need? I'd be happy to cut you some and mail them off... just pm me if you are interested! ;) I can cut them tomorrow and put them in the mail. what size would you like.. my cricut cuts many sizes.... 2-3" would probably work best on a card...

That is sooooo nice of you, but now that you mentioned the circut could you maybe help me and suggest a good beginner model and beginner set of the cutting templates? Also would you let me know which one has the Mickey head? I've been thinking that would be a good investment for me since starting in kindergarten I was terrible with the scissors (I'm a lefty and it was not my thing!) also I REALLY want to start scrap booking for my daughter and think a machine that does the cutting for me would be right up my alley! I've tried to research the different models but am really out of my element. Thank you again and I know I'm asking a lot of questions and totally understand if you don't have time to help a clueless newbie!

We always have time for our newbies!!! We love to help answer questions..
As for the beginner model the baby cricut (personal small one) is the best way to go... it will let you cut things up to 5.5" tall... You will need to buy mats: the 6" x 12" to use with this machine..
The next step up will give you a little more creativity.. you will be able to flip the item, fill the page of the same shape numerous times (it also uses the 6" x 12" mats)...
The expression is the next step up... it utilizes 12" x 12" mats and you can also get 12" x 24" mats...

Either the Mickey font which is literally fat letters with a few of the fab 5 character faces and few phrases will have the mickey head on it....
The Mickey & friends cart will not have the letters but instead has more of the charcters on it.... and of course the mickey head....

I'm a lefty also so I know exactly where you are coming from....

The baby bug is the cheapest... but you will find you will want to upgrade soon after...
the expression runs about $200.00ish... Try to find carts on sale... usually in the store they are 89ish... one thing to know up front... Michael's does NOT let you use coupons on any of the cricut/Procraft merchandise... JoAnn's will allow you to use the coupons on the blades and the cutting mats... Hobby Lobby is hit or miss at the store in my area..depends on the cashier.. I have no idea on ACMoore as we don't have them here...

Walmart does sell the cricuts too for a good price.. however you'll probably have to go to Joann's or Michaels for carts...

If you think of any other questions, let me know....

Thank you so much for your reply! I took the plunge and ordered the cricut, but just the lower end model. I thought and thought about it, but I found a deal on Amazon: the personal cutter was $95.00 and the Mickey cartridge (without the fonts) was $33.00. So now I will have to learn to use it! Thanks again for your help!

Good for you... let us know if you need any help.. there is always someone here to help with questions!!!! :)

Good for you! You're going to love your Cricut. Believe me ... it's very easy to learn to use. The Disney carts are the reason I bought my first Cricut then I moved up tot he Expression.
