Hi - We are going on a cruise in February leaving from Miami. Is there any suggestions of places to stay in Miami for one night?

Thank you

I had a really good experience with Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon for just an overnight pre-cruise.

For more than one night, I go to Miami Beach and love the Hilton Garden Inn Faena there.

We stayed for one night at the Doubletree Biscayne Bay back in winter 2015. The room itself wasn't anything special, but we had a balcony with great water views and we could see the ship in the morning. There was a rooftop swimming pool that was quite nice and it had a sort of cool, art deco vibe. Maybe a 10 minute cab ride to the port in the morning.

We're staying at the Residence Inn by the airport. I hear the best value is the Comfort Suites airport though.

we come in a little early and catch one of the nicer hotels on the Beach. Last time we stayed at the Hilton Bentley on South Beach.

Maybe dinner at Joe's stone crabs the night before as well.

We are doing the same in February and flying into FLL. Any suggestions on where to stay? We're coming in late the night before the cruise.

thanks folks.

I do not recommend the Hilton by the airport. The rooms were not nice, the only food nearby was the hotel and it was poor, and the free shuttle service was slow.

agree with Dug720...
Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon was nice. Grocery right across the street along with pharmacy-type stores and fast food places. Free shuttle from airport and they had a $10 shuttle to the port you could book. Plus free breakfast...and very nice staff.

Yep! One of the nicest Hampton Inns I've stayed in. (And I stay in a lot of them!) The "fast food" Cuban place down the street is great. And in the same complex as the grocery store (which does sell wine), there's a Starbucks!

I don't do malls, but they also have a shuttle to a nearby mall if you want that - I think it's $10/person, but I'm not sure. Also not sure on the schedule for it, but they can tell you at the front desk.
