Hi everyone,

we're off on the next trip in just over 50 days (not that I'm counting or anything!;) ) and need some advice from all you wonderful people out there.

As we're staying off site we can't take advantage of the half board scheme and seeing how poor the exchange rate is at the moment (:scared1: ) I need some advice about cheap and cheerful places to eat, either in the parks, the village or nearby?

We not too fussed about character meals as we've done this on previous trips and will do so again in January when we take DGM and DGD who's first trip it will be!

Thanks :goodvibes

Annettes is reasonably priced from what i hear, and there is always Mcdonalds lol!

you could always go to colonel haithis or pizza planet and get a pizza or 2 to share.

We got a baguette type lunch from a place in the station near the entrance so maybe consider checking in there too.

I'm all booked up for expensive meals but I've heard that.....

The bar in Sequoia Lodge do baguettes at their bar for5Euros which are nice.

Right by the Val d'europe station there is a good (and cheap compared to the resort) pizza place!

If you're just fuelling, and not fussed about leisurely meals, you can't go far wrong with a kids meal at any of the counter-service restaurants in the parks :thumbsup2 .

Burgers, pizza, Mexican, chicken - you can get something like this, with a side, a drink, a dessert (and a toy princess: ) for 7 euros.

A hot drink and a brioche is around 2 euros too, and great for filling a gap.

Also Casey's for yummy hotdogs

Thanks everyone for the replies - looks like my Mickey food addiction will be continuing on the next trip then:thumbsup2 .

Oh yes - love Casey's Corner Hot dogs :goodvibes .

Someone posted pictures a while ago of the toasted sandwiches from the place opposite Casey's - Victoria's Kitchen? They looked absolutely lovely - if only they did them shaped like MIckey!!;)

Oh well 49 days and counting - if I last that long!!:rotfl:

The counter service meals at Fuente del Oro and Cowboy Cookout Barbeque are very good value IMO. I had lovely fajitas at Fuente and when we had a Texan platter at Cowboy Cookout we were so stuffed we had to cancel our evening meal! :)
