This is such a simple question. At places (Main Street Bakery for example) that are listed in the brochure as both CS(QS) and snack, how do you know which to do? Are all items both? As many times as we've done Disney we've never done the DDP before and I really need to understand it before we leave. I thought that a place was either counter or snack but the brochure clearly says some places are both. Thanks.

Some of the wonderful people on these boards have compiled a list of snack items, and where to find them. The post may be stuck at the top of this board, or you can do a search to find it. You will notice some of the places listed also serve CS meals, like burgers, chicken, etc. Certain items on the menus at CS places qualify as snacks. For example, you could probably get a drink or a frozen lemonade at the Flame Tree in AK, and it will count as a snack. At the same place, you may get a counter service meal of chicken, a side, a drink and a desert. You could print out both the snack list from this board, and the list of CS/TS/Snack locations from the Disney website, and pack them. Or, if you prefer not to carry this around with you, most CS eateries on the DP in WDW have the dining plan symbols listed right on their menu boards, identifying each item that qualifies as a snack.

We were at WDW on the plan last week, and there are numerous locations that have both QS meals in addition to Snacks.

Take Main street Bakery for instance. In addition to all the pastries and other goodies under $4.00 you can get with a snack credit, they have breakfast and lunch sandwiches. So, you could use a snack credit to get a cinnamon roll, or you could use a QS credit to get an egg, cheese and ham croissant, a cinnamon roll and a drink.

Main Street bakery was a great place use credits.

You really need to ask at particular locations to know what you can do with your credits. For instance, in the patisserie in France it says in the plan you can use snack credits, but in the store they can only be used for drinks and not pastries. Of course you can use a QS cedit there for two pastries and a drink.

You really have to look at the menus and ask questions.
