These are the restaurants I've requested for PS for our family trip. Any opinions of the places would be appresiated:

Boma
Rainforest Cafe
Kona Cafe
Cinderella's Royal Table
California Grill

We've been to all of the above and every one was great !!!!

Here's my opinions:

Rainforest Cafe -- very disappointed on last visit. Food was just so-so and so was the service. If dining at Animal Kingdom, I'd recommend the Tusker House (food is great). If dining at DTD, then I would recommend the House of Blues (food is very good).
Kona Cafe -- again, another disappointment. I'd strongly recommend O'Hana's instead.
Cinderella's Royal Table -- EXCELLENT!!! One of my favorite places to dine.
California Grill -- EXCELLENT!!! Another favorite place to dine!

Boma-Are you eating breakfast or dinner here? Dinner is wonderful, be sure to try lots of different things, you might be surprised about what you like and don't like. Also, we learned one way to enjoy more foods is to start with small portions of the soups and salads and move onto the meats. In the past we went straight for the meat and filled up much quicker.

Rainforest Cafe-Great atmosphere, but the food is so-so. I did enjoy a wood planked salmon dish here, everything else is merely passable. If you've dined here before, I would skip it in favor of trying something new.

Kona Cafe-Are you eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner here? All meals are good, but breakfast is outstanding. Best coffee at WDW (kona, of course!) and the Tonga Toast is decadently delicious! But if you eat lunch or dinner, be sure and leave room for one of their amazing desserts.

Cinderella's Royal Table-Are you eating breakfast, lunch or dinner? I've only had the breakfast and dinner and both meals were enjoyable, but mostly due to the atmosphere. Breakfast is pretty good, but you're there for the princesses! Dinner isn't bad, but again, the atmosphere and decor are terrific!

California Grill-One of the best restaurants in WDW! Great views, great service and fabulous food. You won't be disappointed!

Kona was for dinner. Cinderella for breakfast. Boma for dinner. I have been to O'hanas before and the food wasn't great....not bad, but a bit disappointing for the price paid. Would I be more disappointed in Kona, do you think?

Boma -- I love Boma! Great place, great food. Go out and see the animals after dinner.

Rainforest Cafe -- Nice place, the food was a little better than 'OK'. The service was terrible. We used vouchers there and got a great deal.

Kona Cafe -- I've eaten there twice and didn't like either time. The highlight was the sticky wings. They were good.

Cinderella's Royal Table -- I've only eaten there for breakfast. I like it, but service varies.

California Grill -- I've never had a bad meal at the California Grill. It can be expensive, though.

Bomas we really like, this time around we are trying for the first time, CRT and CG :D Bomas has some nice foods, some can be sicey but I didnt notice that to much because I am into spicey food. You can always find something you will like there

You'll get all kinds of opinions here, but here's mine:

We were also disappointed in 'Ohana. We enjoyed a couple of the appetizers but just didn't think any of the meats were good and the food was definitely not worth the price. Kona, however, was an entirely different story. We had lunch there on the last day of our June trip, and it was the best meal of the entire trip! The food was delicious, the desserts were unbelievable, and the service was great. Plus, the prices were very reasonable for WDW. We can't wait to go back!

Hi,

Only been to 3. BOMA great for Dinner or Breakfast! Rainforest Cafe good. Kona Cafe not as good as expected but that's just me. Enjoy your stay!

Allison

Boma - outstanding for breakfast or dinner

Rainforest Cafe - fun, but the food is mediocre at best

Kona - Definitely keep your PS here. We've eaten at MANY restaurants around the world, and this was one of our most memorable meals. We were there the beginning of September and almost opted not to go, because it was the day before Frances hit. We were so glad we decided to brave it, because all of our entrees (dinner) were outstanding and the desserts are to die for. I had the coconut chicken, which was delicious, but the salad that they served with it was unusual and scrumptious. I couldn't stop raving about it.

Can't help with Cinderella's or California Grill, as our ressies were cancelled by Frances!

We may be in the minority here, but we absolutely loved Kona for lunch and dinner. We found the service to be excellent and the food even more so. We weren't impressed with Ohana either. Keep your PS for Kona! You'll be glad you did.::MinnieMo

we have dined at california grill several times; however, the last 2 times--6 months apart--were not up to par. all of us in the party--4 adults--were very disappointed in the meal. for the upcoming trip in december we have decided not to return to CG. granted it could have been an off night,but......as far as kona cafe, we were not blown away like we thought we would be. love cindy's breakfast!! have to agree w/others about o'hana--we were not impressed.

Boma - excellent; I've had both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is more traditional (though there are some interesting dishes) - I particularly like their special juice called "frunch". Dinner is excellent - great prime rib and lots of items you don't see on a standard buffet (for example, several different types of hummus). Plenty of choices for non-adventurous eaters too.

Rainforest Cafe - Younger kids tend to love this place. I think the food is okay - nothing special. (They have one in the mall near my house so I typically wouldn't eat here while at Disney).

Kona Cafe - one of my favorites. Never had a bad meal here.

Cinderella's Royal Table - Eaten dinner here once. Thought it was very good. Never had the breakfast.

California Grill - haven't been here in years; but when I did go, it was excellent. Food was great and view was great.

It sounds like you've made very good choices. We are going to Ohanas again because we like the appetizers and the kids like the games. I agree though, the food isn't great for the money. We LOVE Kona Cafe. My husband and I don't always agree on meals, but we both are absolutely crazy about their pan asian pasta...YUM! Go to Kona, you'll be glad you did.
