I watched the second half of the Roseanne where they go to Disney World (yes, this is how much I miss Disney - I put myself through that!) today. When the nutty grandma is singing to the kids, where are they? Did Disney World used to have a miniature town for kids? I remember something like that on the Full House episode too. :)

How funny......I watched it too and was thinking the same thing!!! Where is the grandmother at in WDW???? I loved how quickly they went from MK to Epcot and back to MK again ;)

The grandmother is in what is now Mickey's Toontown. It was formerly Mickey's Birthdayland and some other name, I think. I know we saw it as Birthdayland in 1989. I don't remember exactly what it was called when she was there, but it was pre-Toontown.

I watched that last night as well. Did Pooh look different to ya'll?? I think he's gained weight since then?

Didn't see the episode, but the area was also called 'Mickey's Starland'.

He does look different! I think it might be the nose... I'll check our pictures to compare... lol

ETA - Yep, it's the nose. On Roseanne, the nose was brown with a black tip. He was a brighter yellow/orange. His ears curved in and his shirt said "Pooh." Now, he is a softer shade and his nose is gold/honey colored like him, with a black tip. His ears curve out, and his shirt does not say "Pooh."

Yeah, several of the characters seem to have gotten makeovers. The old Pooh looked like he had a 5 'o' clock shadow to me. I'm all for a clean shaven Pooh. pooh:

We have a picture of our kids with Pooh in 1987. In that one, the most noticeable difference is that Pooh has a "built-in" Huney pot on top of his head. In addition, there are some smaller differences, his nose is bigger in circumference now (but shorter), his eyebrows are narrower, and his overall color seems more yellow, less beige/brown. Also, since I don't have any total body pictures, I'm not sure if he's currently wearing a red sweater that says "Pooh" in white (so we all know who he is?) In 1987, he had a turtleneck.

Sorry but what is the "grandmother"
