My very first post here!

I am planning to go in June to Disney with:

Me, DH, DD - just turned 5 and DS who will be 2 and three quarters!
Also, My mum and dad, my sister and MIL.

We will be staying in a house rental off site and was looking for some lunch advice.

Currently planning two days in the MK, one at AK and one at Epcot.

I would love to do Cinderella's table but when I looked at the booking - it said we may not be seated together - For that amount of money - I don't want that! Any experiences with this?

Where else would be good for lunch?

Thanks!:goodvibes

Every reservation will say you may not be seated together but we've had meals with anywhere from 2-7 and have always been seated together. In MK our favorite lunch place is Pecos Bills. We love the fixings station for the burgers! Your kids may like the Crystal Palace too. Plus with it being a buffet, your 2 yo can eat off your plates :)

People have reported the system saying this when they've book a reservation for one person. I think it's just standard protocol in the slight event this has to happen. I would not let that stop me from booking.

Ok! Thank you! I'm getting excited about this trip!

What other restaurants would be great for a 5 and 2 yo? The Crystal Palace?

If you like BBQ, I would recommend Flame Tree BBQ for lunch at the AK. probably one of the best lunch places at WDW.

My favorite is Pacos Bills! Its wayyy cheaper than CRT b/c it's burgers & salads & kinda food court stlye. The fixin' bar is great b/c of all the choices. Belive it or not it's the best burger I have ever had.

Pecos Bills is wonderful! I love their taco salad!! Something about all those fixings for it!! I am drooling just thinking about it..LoL!

As far as lunches for kids I would say the Crystal Palace would be good at Magic Kingdom!

Thank you so much! I'm furiously making notes!!

My son favorite place to eat in MK is CP for lunch. He has been going here since he was 2 and gone 5x. Its a must ever Disney trip. My husband loves the salmon.
At AK, Tusker House breakast buffet is great too.

Even though it's not a character meal, we love Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom for lunch. You can probably get a reservation a couple of weeks ahead of time.

At Epcot, we like the Sunshine Seasons food court at The Land pavilion. They have some really good selections that aren't burgers and nuggets. I particularly like the pork chop and my kids like the chicken legs. It's like sit-down food with counter-service prices. :)

We like the crystal palace at MK if your kids like winnie the pooh and frineds. Another place that has characters if the Garden Grill at Epcot. i think mickery, chip&dale, pluto are there. i've never ate there but I have friends whose kids love it. I think the dining floor revolves. Check out the dining section when you 1st come to the DIS website; click on dining and then click on MENUS and you can look at all the different restaurants and see what they've got and also check out the prices. Most of them have up to date $$$ amts so you can plan accordingly to see what wil lwork out best for you and yours.

Have a great time :thumbsup2

For one of your MK days I would do breakfast in the park at Crystal Palace and then do lunch at a counter service place (we like Columbia Harbor House). On your second MK day I would lunch at either Liberty Tree Tavern or The Plaza. All of these will be great for a family with children. Crystal Palace breakfast is a character meal with buffet breakfast food.

On your Epcot day I would look into Garden Grill if you want another character meal or are generally looking to please your children. I have not been there the last few trips but it used to be one of my kids favorites. The food was okay and the character interaction was great. If you are looking more toward pleasing the adults I would just eat around World Showcase. Look at Allears.net for menus, we love the bakeries in Norway and France and there are plenty of options for kids there as well. Eating in this area can be accomplished while you tour World Showcase.

For AK we like Pizzafari, honestly I cannot even stand the smell of Flame Tree and even hate walking by it but that is a personal pref. Pizzafari has a decent Hot Italian sammy and I also like the salad there. Of course they do have pizza but believe it or not we have not eaten it:rotfl2: Also, at AK is one of the best (IMO) breakfast character meals at Tusker House. This is a buffet.

If you decide to do breakfast ressies try to make them at 8 before the parks open. You get into the park early before others and can take some photos, truly one of the nicest perks of early am breakfast ressies.

All of my rec's are based on a family eating lunch in the parks. These are by no means fine dining, the character buffet meals are especially low on my list for food quality and we stick to breakfast for this reason. We like the character interaction and breakfast food if pretty simple. The Plaza and Liberty Tree Tavern we actually find to be quite good and do actually go out of our way to eat there sometimes. Also, there are many tasty counter service options in World Showcase.

Good luck with your trip.
