When we went to WDW my kids played in the Pooh area there and got soaked. We ende dup having to buy them new clothes. Is there anywhere at DL or CA that we should have their swimsuits on hand that they would play in the water???

At DCA in Bug's land they have two set of sprinklers that shoot water everywhere and get the kids wet. That is my boys favorite place. I have seen a lot of dad's in there as well. They have bathrooms right across the way which is nice too.

Great thank you!!! I just want to br prepared this time so we do not have to buy a super expensive outfit there!!

Make sure you bring them some extra shoes too. They require that the kids wear shoes while they are splashing around in there, and there is nothing worse than a kid stuck with wet shoes.

What a great question! I never thought of that. I'll definitely remember to bring something for them to get wet in!

Yes! There are 3 water areas in Bugs life area of DCA. What I do is have the boys wear swim trunks in.. and their crocs... Bring a dry pair of shorts and shirt. The crocs are a lifesaver for these things, because they just dry out real quick. (my pics below are BEFORE the crocs, and what inspired me to buy them, LOL. Payless has 7.00 ones right now!)

My boys can easily spend 2 hrs there in the water, LOL.. and I can sit and relax.

Here are my flickr pics, you can see how drenched they got!

While you will here more CMs state shoes must be worn, there are some that will also tell you that shirts must be worn. Mostly they do not bother and let little boys go without shirts, but I have seen them do it. They will almost always tell men they need to wear shirts. The day it was 106 I think the most crowded area of dca were the water areas. They had CMs at all 3 of them watching for people with no shoes.

The best area for adults to cool down is the farm area because they have a mister on top that goes around, you can stand where you get misted, but not drenched. It was definately nice that day to be standing there, though it was hard to find a spot because i wasn't the only one looking to cool down.

I can second the shirt rule, too. When we went the first time, I took of ds' shirt. He was 19 months old. And a CM asked me to put his shirt back on. So we had a tank top for him this time around, so he was totally prepared to get totally wet.

My kids both loved this area!

When we were in the Pooh area at WDW they madea ll kids have shirts and shoes on there as well. There were people stripping their kids down to diapers only so I can see why they make the rule.

Thank you so much. That will save us from buying the girls another outfit. I learned at WDW letting them just be free for a bit and run around and get wet made them so much happier for the rest of the day.

And don't forget the gallon-size zip-lock to put the wet clothes in afterwards!! We bring water shoes since DS doesn't like sandals - that way his sneakers stay nice and dry (with mom on the bench in the shade sipping a slushie :cool1: ). The water shoes go right into the bag with his soaking wet clothes. We got his shoes at the grocery store for $3, so I really don't care if he loses them. We don't even bring a towel - we use paper towels in the bathrooms right there. Oh - they have two LARGE family restrooms in A Bug's Land, so the whole family can get changed at the same time by both parents!
