Is it correct that if you use a placeholder and book concierge, you don't get the 10% discount? I know about the smaller deposit, which really isn't a big deal so not sure what the benefit is.

Correct. All you will get for concierge OBB is onboard credit which they still give out for concierge onboard bookings (no 10% discount). So for a shorter cruise the only perk to OBB for concierge is $100 credit. I hope when things get going again they bring back the room credit for all onboard bookings, even non-concierge, that was a cool perk.

Thanks. So then it would be a separate credit from Disney in addition to my DU credit? I don't see that noted anywhere in my reservation.

I'm not sure what a travel agent reservation looks like because we've never used one but as far as DCL's reservation, yes it will not show your room credit. I've always wondered why DCL does not do this and show your onboard credit on your reservation but I guess that's their way.

in the past we would get a card in our cabin showing the OBC from the ph you can also see it, once onboard in the app

Shipboard Credit from Dreams Unlimited Travel will not show on your reservation. It is not applied until just before sailing and you will receive a note in your cabin letting you know about the credit.

The DU credit does show up on my reservation on their site, which I already know. I was questioning the credit from DCL. I should have 2 credits and want to make sure where to find them.

For some reason DCL does not show what onboard credits you have on their reservations. That would be cool if they would do this and seems like a simple fix in the computer age but for whatever reason they will not. For us we have to call and ask what they show in their system. There are all kinds of onboard credit right now due to everyone using their FCC and having money left over. If you used a placeholder to book a concierge room for less than 7 nights, then you should have a $100 onboard credit through DCL. If it's 7 nights or more, than you should have $200 onboard credit through DCL. This is separate from whatever OBC your TA gives you. Keep in mind this only applies to concierge. They'll tell you how much you have if you call DCL but since you're booked through TA, the TA might have to call and ask on your behalf.
