Placecards

I had a different idea for placecards, by ordering CM Name Tags for everyone and using them as PLacecards. I just read on another board that Disney has stopped selling them. Does anyone know if it would be impossible to get them through Disney floral? Any advice? I heard some eBay stores have them, but I wanted to wait until I had the RSVP list first and were over 18 mths out.

They stopped selling them?? Thats new news to me...ugh..I was going to get these for the bridal party

Yes, unfortunately I lost my original name badge from 1997 and I wanted to get one to replace it and they no longer make them.

I am thinking about making my own for my guests. I am going to use a make your own button kit and kind of lay them out like the badges. This way I can really personalize them and use all different type of clip art for the character and instead of putting Guest of Honor on the badge I can put "Bridesmaid" "Cousin of Bride" "Aunt of Groom" or anything we want.

At Disneyland we have a stand where you can make a red name badge with Mickey on it and your name.... dunno if that's close enough to a CM name badge for you or if they have one of these at the Magic Kingdom. Ours is just inside the tunnel from the turnstyles on the right as you face the train station.

You might check out one of the Disney Character Outlet stores. When I was at the one in Anaheim a few weeks ago they had a bunch on clearance.

BTW, there are a few people on the Creative DISign board who have used the name tag template to make clipart from. You might ask there for a blank image that you could put the wording on.
