Place to Buy Bottled Water

We are flying in Saturday (yeah!) to John Wayne Airport and taking a taxi to the Disneyland Hotel. I'd like to buy bottled water from a grocery store or convenience store to save money. Does anyone have suggestions for a nearby store we could walk to? Maybe we could have the taxi stop at a nearby store? Thanks.

Well; I know there is a Safeway or Albertsons near DL and you can have a case of water bottles (between $5-$7; much cheaper than the parks)delivered (free) to your hotel room.

We always buy water at Target. It's south of DLR on Harbor and Chapman. Of course we always stay at Residence Inn just across the intersection. Too far too walk of course.

I read that there's a bus that goes right to Target, if you wanted to pick it up there. But if you're taking a cab you could probably ask the driver where the closest store is, I'd go between Von's and Albertsons.

I've also read you can order water from Costco to be delivered to your room, and that it includes the cost of shipping.


On the other hand, we tend to just buy one bottle for each of us, and fill up with normal water after those are emptied. At Rancho del Zocalo, in the table area, there's a water station.

In addition, you can get cups of ice water just about everywhere, for no cost. That's the main thing we did on our recent trip.

There is a bus that stops right at Target. My husband took it last year from the CGH to get some stuff. But I'm sure your cab driver would stop some place on your way to the hotel.

I would ask the cab driver, they will recommend a good place to stop. We usually go to the Target down the road...unless we have our own water already, we drive.
