I'm leaving for Disney in a few days and am 18 weeks pg. It's so hot that I was wondering if there was any cool resting places in Magic Kingdom? I know I can go into shows, but I was wondering if there was any place besides that I could sit down and rest? Thanks!

Could you go into the child care centers????

Counter services resturants, like Cosmic Rays, Pinnochio Haus, if it is not a busy time I am sure you could dit in there for a bit.

Maybe its just me, but I think you should change the title of this thread - Resting Place..... doesn't sound good!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My favorite place is Expo Hall (I think that's the name of it - it's just inside the MK gates to the right - same place as you enter Tony's restaurant). In the front it is a Kodak store with film and frames, etc - but if you keep walking into the back there are some old photo things displayed and in the way back there is a theater where old cartoons are run and LOTS of seats and it is always pretty dark and cool in there. I always brought kids napping in their strollers in here and it is usually pretty quiet. A GREAT place for a cool snack or drink and to rest.

I found even just walking slowly and browsing through the stores was a good way to cool off. I also second the baby centers as a good place to go.

Most of the rides are air-conditioned. I was 18wks pregnant and consented to riding It's a Small World over and over and over and over again with our then 3yo because it was so nice and cool in there.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to be seeking out all of the places you've mentioned!

Kayleebug - Besides the rides and shops mentioned, there is a "first aid" place to the right of the Crystal Palace (as you are facing it) that will allow you to go in and cool off. My DH had a migraine one day we were there and like a trooper continued to go until he jsut really needed to cool off. We went in and explained the situation. Not only did they let him sit in the air conditioned comfort, they offered him cold water, juice or Coke products for free. It is a great place to seek out if you are overheated.

Definitely second the baby center (there's a place in there to watch cartoons, especially if you have other children) and the TTA/People Mover.

i was going to mention the baby care centers. have you considered asking for a guest assistance card? one of the options is "needs a cool place to wait" or something like that. available at guest services.....
