PJ's at a hotel...appropriate?

I could live in my pjs. There was an incident at the Dolphin during our Thanksgiving trip. I wanted to put the dinner tray from room service in the hall. All I had to do was keep my foot in the doorway to stop it from closing. Apparently my legs are not as long as I thought because I glanced back just in time to see the door close. My family had gone to Epcot for Illuminations. It was a good thing there's a service phone right near the elevators. I called for help and the CM about died laughing- it sounded like she spit her drink. Ok,here comes the security guy and he's doubled over laughing but that's ok,so am I. This whole time-about 10 minutes, people are coming off the elevator... to say they were amused is an understatement. Moral: Make sure your legs are long enough to hold open the door or wait to put on your pjs until after you put out the dinner tray.

Same here. I usually wear my jammies WITH flip flops but I have been known to *gasp* go bare foot!!!! :bitelip:

Same here.

I usually wear pj bottoms and a T-shirt and I've walked around in them.

I usually send DH out for ice and he'll put on jeans and a t shirt (he sleeps in boxers and no way is he going out in the hallway in those!!) but if I had to go get the ice myself I would probably go out in my pj bottoms and a t shirt...(I might even go crazy and be barefoot!!!)

This past weekend we took the kids downtown to take in the Christmas sites. We stayed at the InterContinental on Michigan Avenue -(friend works there, fab rate) The hotel is incredible. They have an indoor pool on the upper floors, (think Hearst Castle) - well some lady decides she wants to go swimming so she puts on the bathrobe in the closet that was WAY too small for her, grabs a towel from the room and start wandering the lobby BAREFOOT looking for the pool - it was like a scene from a movie, about 10 employees rushed her and directed her to the elevators and told her to go to the 12th floor. There were about 100 people in the lobby, drinking, listening to carollers etc, I felt bad for the lady, but must admit I got a chuckle out of it.....even the bell boys approached her.

Unless you're evacuating due to a fire or other emergency, you should never leave your room in your PJ's.

Anne

Why?

WHo makes these rules? :confused3

My PJ's are generally somethign like this:
c7233

Why cant I wear that outside of my room? Will I turn to dust? :confused3

Heck I wear that in the middle of the night, if I have to run out and get milk - I just dont get this anti-jammies revolution.

It depends on how the PJs cover. Today many people wear PJs that could be or actually are clothes. I have a set of knit shorts and matching shirt that I bought at WDW that I wear as PJs. Since they would actually be clothes then I would. Now I would still use a bra, but your DH probably does not wear one of those.

Do you have man****s?? :confused3 JK!! :rotfl2: I just read on the other thread that you're a "she". :lmao:

I'd rather go get ice in my jammies than go get ice without my jammies on!

If the ice machine was on my floor and I didn't have to walk through the lobby to get there, I would stay in my PJ's or maybe put on my robe. If it required me to get in an elevator or go through the lobby at all, I would change.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I have no problems with wearing jammies to get ice, a drink, whatever. I am like most other people and wear sleep pants or shorts and a t-shirt or cami top. But seriously who even notices these things? I must wear blinders or something because I can't even recall if I ever saw others in jammies at a hotel or resort. :rotfl:

I'll say it again. "She She I am a she." And yes us she people do wear bras! :rotfl:

I am begining to think I need a tag that says "I am a she not a he". :lmao:

I works at a hotel and people always come down in PJ's & Robes. No big deal.

I've worn my pj's and slippers to go get ice or get something in the lobby before. I don't see the big deal.

A couple of years ago, a bunch of friends and I stayed at a hotel in Baltimore (there were about 25 of us) and we had a group picture done in the lobby...we were all in our PJs. You should have seen the looks we got! :rotfl:

I really don't see anything wrong with it, as long as your PJs aren't see-through. And if they ARE see-through, then I see nothing wrong with it as long as you have a nice body. jk! :teeth:
