Anyone try the phone number in the front window yet?
It looks like in some of the older pictures there is a number in window paint on the front, but in the picture from yesterday it's only on the menu.
PizzeRizzo has just soft opened

While it may not have a lot muppet theming it has a New York style theming which is way better than what was there before. I wouldn't say there isn't no major decor. The inside looks about as unimpressive as I expected - how little did they spend redoing this? No menu change (save 2 desserts), no major decor...it is a workmanlike restaurant in a park focused on the magic and immersion of movies...

Disney doesn't have something to base this off of. Sure it should have a muppet theme but there is no actual PizzeRizzo restaurant in the show or movies. Generic muppet theming wouldn't be any better than toy story.Right, we have theming that doesn't match the food. NYC theming was the cheaper way out (vs Muppet theming or making the Toy Story theme "right") and not adopting NYC pizza was also the cheaper way out...and Disney chose both.
If I saw a NYC pizzeria, I'd expect NY-style pizza. Even if the previous pizza was good (which is wasn't), keeping it the same is ridiculous to me as a customer...Pizza is its OWN cuisine across the country and if you're gonna ape a region, you better get their pizza-style right...

So, then make real NYC-style pizza.
It's like opening up a Philly cheesesteak place and sticking a large, uncut crappy beef cut on a bun with parm cheese and calling it a cheese steak - there'd be huge disappointment...
I agree on the pizza, I was talking about theming. So, then make real NYC-style pizza. At least that shows a little care. There's a reason NY-style pizza (and Chicago-style pizza) are famous - they are beloved by large segments of the population. So, if you're saying, I'm gonna make a NY-style pizza place, for goodness sakes, serve NY-style pizza!!! That's not hard and you can visit a 100 places in NYC to find out how...

Workmanlike ...
Are you freaking kidding? I call this a theme park disaster.
Not that I would refuse to eat there or anything, but is this supposed to be a popular and friendly restaurant run by zany puppets or a soup kitchen set up on a very, very tight budget?

The small memorabilia is nice but doesn't feel like it's enough.
