Flying down South in two weeks for Spring Break. Picking up DS 19 in Atlanta and driving to BCV. Since we don't get in till about 7:30 that evening want to find a place with decent pizza. Typically buy one at the Boardwalk but want to get something better. Also stopping for groceries near DTD, Any suggestions for a good pizza place?

There's a Flipper's pizza in the same plaza with a Super Target (this is not far from AKV so that may or may not work for you). Here's the address for that particular location, but they have others:
3216 Rolling Oaks Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34747

Thanks Vicki_C. Saw that there is also a Flippers near DTD so downloaded the menu and will stop ther. Great choices of toppings.

And after another five inches of snow last night on top of the 18 already on the ground, cannot wait to see the grass again. Brutal winter in the North east.

We have yet to find really good pizza in the Disney area. Flippers is okay though. That's the one we usually go with. There used to be a place on 192 called New York Pizza or something like that that was really good but they closed. We did not care for Giordano's.

We haven't tried it ourselves so no idea on the quality, but Trattoria Al Forno just opened up and at least based on the menu their Pizzas look like they're a bit better quality. May be worth a shot, not sure if it's easy to grab a carry out from them...

Café Antonio in Celebration has good pizza on their menu. It is a sit down place, not a take out restaurant, but I really like their pizza, especially the 'Quattro'. The website is online. The large size easily serves 2 or 3 but maybe not a 19 year old. Most of the menu is very good, outshines Disney food.

Upper Crust in Celebration is by far the best (Non Villa Italia) Pizza I have had near WDW. Its a takeout place and also sell specialty slices.

Where are they located?

Trattoria Al Forno is on the Boardwalk, but it is a sit down restaurant. It replaces the greek place (can't remember the name) which replaced Spoodles.

I had a ho hum breakfast there last month.

I think the pizza window is probably the same stuff from before.

Thanks everyone. More choices than I thought. Had to laugh when I opened up this thread to respond and saw a Pizza hut ad at the top

Another vote for Flipper's. It's a decent pizza at a decent price. The pizza that my kids like best: the pizza at ASSp! :sad2: I think that's because it has so much cheese.

Different Flippers locations deliver to different Disney resorts. You would have to call them or maybe check their app to find out for sure and which locations serve what hotels. We have had them deliver to OKW in the past.

Have you ever thought about Sweet Tomatoes? All you can eat Soup, Salad, Pizza, and Desserts. It is very good and a very good price.

We absolutely LOVE Sweet Tomatoes. Go there usually twice each time we're in Florida. But I would never consider it a pizza place. They do have a small section of flatbreads with cheese and sometimes sauce but it's a stretch to count that as pizza. So definitely check out Sweet Tomatoes if you've never been there but don't go expecting to have a meal of pizza.

I just wish Papa Murphy's had a store near WDW.

The last few times I've traveled to WDW, we have ordered pizza from Giordano's and have loved it.

The deep dish style is very. very different from any of the 9 gazillion pizza places where I live, and notwithstanding that we are all big eaters, there is always lots left over for breakfast the next morning (the trick is trying to figure out how to get it into the studio fridge.
