Pizza stones: Experiences? Advice?

Another Pampered Chef fan here. As I type, my bread machine is kneading my pizza dough so we can make pizza tonight. I love my stone!! And DDs love making their own pizza which is much healthier than ordering out (sorry delswife!).

Hello, my name is Robin and I am a Pampered Chef addict.

Seriously, I think their stones are awesome and I am adding to my collection quickly! I have the large round stone, and just ordered the loaf stone, the deep dish baker, the small oval and have the big bar stone and the muffin one on my birthday list!

Pamper Chef addict here too....
round stone, sq stone, large baker, small baker (last yrs huner green) lg casserole w/lid, deep dish pie plate. And having another party soon to get more Dh thought I was nuts till he made his apple pie in the pie plate cooked in 1 hour and was the best!!! The small bar pan works great on fudge. Lg bar pan make 2 -3 batches of brownies to once. Once you try it you'll be hooked.

Pampered Chef. I love it and it works great, but the stone takes a while to heat so everything has to be cooked longer on it.

Well I will be voice of lone dissent. Our pizza stone is from Williams & Sonoma. It works wonderfully. But the key to the best crust is corn meal in lieu of flour.

I'm not sure where my stone comes from - it was a gift. I never pre-heat it. I like making nachos on it. Cleans up easy.

we have a small pizza stone and just bought a round baker from pampered chef. (can't remember for the life of me what it's actually called!)

my husband will cook bacon on the stones when we first get them to help "season" the stone...works great!!

Wow! This has turned into a Pampered Chef love-a-thon!

Scarlett, interesting seasoning trick! Mmm, bacon!;)

Another pampered chef stone here. I use it for cookies too and really like it.

But I saw a show on Food Network (drawing a blank on the name, it's the quirky young guy with the round glasses, maybe something like Alton Brown?) who said to use a tile from your hardware store as well.

mmm pizza stone.... I think ours is one of those fancy schmancy ones too. We got it as a gift from a person that is like a mini-chef in their house. It rocks the house!
