Is Pizza Planet still a buffet and more importantly is it open at the moment?

We will be going 14 to 16 January.

Thanks

It wasn't open at all when we were there last week. It also wasn't open last year when we went at the same time. But then not a lot of restaurants were open at all last week. One of the downers of our trip.

I think it may only open at weekends in off-peak times.

I haven't seen it open in ages :confused3

There's a rumour going round that it might be closing for good at the end of the year but as yet it is unconfirmed

To be honest, if its closed whilst your there its doing you a favour! The food is awful and the staff seem poorly trained. There was no stock rotation of the buffet food whilst we were there, flies everywhere and the tables and floors were filthy. On top of everything the food was so bland that everything tasted the same... I couldnt eat here if they were giving the food away. Even the low price doesnt make up for the food.

The only positive is the toy story theme and play area and its such a shame because with a little bit of thought and staff training this place could be a winner.

Do yourself a favor, stay away from that sorry excuse for a restaurant

being French and living close to DLP, I've had the occasion to visit DLP over 20 times this year, and everytime it was opened I tried to visit for the "toy story touch" ...
I never dared to go through the double doors and into the line.
This place is so badly themed that it looks like the decor was made by 1st graders with materials scavenged from the local dump yard.

The first thing you notice is the smell. This place reeks with old tomato or pizza sauce. As if tin cans of sauce had been left open on the counter for weeks on end

You really need to be hungry or completely desperate to eat there.

It's just not worth the money.

The Toy story theme (poor) does not even make up for the downsides. And here's a huge fan of toy story's speaking ...

you may want to prefer the Agrabah, which offers a very good all you can eat buffet, with a very nice theme and feel, for a price quite similar to pizza planet.

enjoy your stay

we have only been once but got there when it opened, so were pretty much the first ones there

food was hot and plentiful, and didn't see anything dirty and esp no flies

maybe as the day goes on it goes downhill

loved the theming :lovestruc

my only complaint would be that it was freezing in there, but maybe it hadn't had time to warm up yet !

That has to be one of the worst resturants if not the worst at disney, we went in there in 08 and the food was terribile, prices were sky high and the place was just a mess. TBH i think it was that place that totally put me off eating in any of the other resturants and is the reason to this day i still only eat at the sequoia resturants. Mind you this next trip in Jan i have actually booked a table and cake for my son at Cafe Mickey, so if that goes ok, i may in future try others.

aj2703 - please dont let it put you off, every other meal we ate in June was amazing. And for a similar price to this Annettes was 1000 times nicer. Even my kids (7,5 and big Toy Story fans) loved Annettes more than Pizza Planet. My son didnt eat a thing.

I come from Blackpool originally, so as you can imagine I am used to my poor quality takeaways and restaurants and in my opinion if this place was in the UK it would have been closed down on its first inspection.

And also for comparison I am the least fussiest eater you have ever met! In fact in my whole life I think this is the worst food I have ever eaten.

HA HA, i love Blackpool, have taken my kids there a few times, and all it's poor quality takeaways as you say mum, part of the charm of the place.

However a place like pizza planet i would never have expected to find at a family park such as Eurodisney. As i said, gonna try cafe mickey in Jan so hopefully that will regain my faith in the park eateries :).

Good choice we loved Cafe Mickey, we are going on our first day this time round. However instead of paying over E100 like last time we are just getting pizzas for me and OH and kids meals as despite the food being lovely and entertainment great - we had 2 lots of characters and some very rare ones thanks to a big managers meeting going on in there!

Its a shame and who knows once we get in we may have second thoughts but we cant wait to go in! Our kids still drink out of their Cafe Mickey cups!
