Just heard that Pizza Planet is to be turned into an all-you-can-eat buffet restuarant from April 2010.

Personally I think the resort needs another one of those like a bullet in the head.

I'm kinda guessing that it's going to be a character meal with the Toy Story characters to tie in with Toy Story 3's release and with the New Generation theme for this year.

Bet you're right. And that means we won't be able to pop in their for a hot chocolate while the children play for an hour. :confused3

Sounds cool, but they could of built a resturant in TSP though like this. Would of been so much better.

Whilst it's poorly/cheaply themed compared to other counter service restaurants, I've always liked Pizza Planet because it's always empty! I'm not sure most visitors even know it exists!

It's been very handy for summer trips when everywhere else is busy! It's always easy to get a table and because you serve yourself, it's probably the quickest option.

Seems someone at Disney has thought that buffets are the future. It will be interesting to see what they charge and what food is available. It'd be pretty good if it was a pizza buffet (like they have in Alton Towers) with a similar price (£10).

I love the pizza buffet at AT (provided by Pizza Hut) but a price tag of £10 at DLRP seems highly unlikely, unfortunately!

Oh dear - this might mean no more Pizza Burgers - a dish that i don't have anyway - but its one of the things DBF is most looking forward to for our Sept Trip ( as he was sad Pizza Planet in WDW didn't have them) :sad2:

Hopefully it does turn out to be Toy Story character meal though, as that would be cool! Although having 'toy story playground in one park - then all this in disneyland park is a lot of Toy Story ! (not that i mind as its one of my fave films!)

Fingers crossed that it stays a Pizza Planet though!!

honestly i think the resort has enough buffets. i am currently struggling to find six places to have a sit down meal in march. i am totally not a buffet person i dont find them appealing at all. starters or dessert wouldnt bother me but i like to choose my main from a menu.

it could well be popular if it is a toy story character meal but i dont think i would go

It's lazy on Disney's behalf. They represent terrible value to me because I'm not a big eater, normally I'll only eat a main. E30 is too much to pay for the standard of food that you get.

I'm also quite a fussy eater so I don't like most of the food available at the buffets. It really limits my restaurant choice in the parks. At least there's still Walts!

thats why i dont like them either. i can see how they are worth it to big eaters but honestly i wouldnt eat enough to justify the price. i think they should spend more time improving menus etc rather than shoving buffets anywhere they can think of.

I like the buffets :goodvibes I find them good because I can't eat a lot of the same thing, I get bored. so being able to choose a little of everything suits me donw to the ground. Plus we all like different foods so it's ideal for us. In fact the buffets were the best meals for us, and the sit down meals we waited sooooo long for service and got quite hungry!

I hate buffets too, I don't mind inventions however I like the dining experience of a sit down meal.

Sure hope they won't be serving the garbage that Pizza Planet serves :)

**Shudder** :rotfl:

I think I've given myself a bad reputation for DLRP food.
In all honesty, I don't think I've ever had an overly bad meal at DLRP, with one exception...:rolleyes1

:goodvibes

I have always hoped that Florida would open a Toy Story Character Meal so it would be Fab if Paris did but i am going end of March :sad2:
