DS4 is obsessed with Toy Story and Pizza Planet. Is this place worth checking out?:confused3 I know he's going to assume it's just like the movie with arcade games and such, but it sounds like it's more snacks then real food an looks nothing like the movie. Anyone have any photos? I'd rather skip it all together if it's not going to live up to his expectations...:rolleyes1

You don't actually have to eat there. You can walk through it and if the little guy wants to eat, then eat. If not, you can still see the place. But - I have a feeling that he's going to want to eat there no matter what. It's not really snacks but pizzas (smaller ones) but it is pizza and it is called Toy Story Pizza Planet. A four year old probably isn't going to really care about portion sizes. He wants to eat at the Pizza Planet. And it might just be you who is disappointed but let him have his fun.

The food is JUST OKAY....at least to us. You can get pizzas and salads there. Don't go thinking you will have this nice meal relaxing meal. :goodvibes We have eaten there once and thought the food was just okay. I would probably skip the food and just hang out for a while.

We ate there and the pizza was bad (as in I'll take a frozen pizza - any frozen pizza over this), the garden salad was fine. The Crispy Treats with Ears dipped in chocolate were good.

It does NOT look like the movie. My son was pretty bummed about the lack of the "claw" with green aliens in it, that was the souvenir he was most looking forward to on the trip (even though I told him that the claw wasn't there prior to going)

The video games are fine, and this trip if DS wants to go there we aren't eating there, we'll just take a few minutes to play some games.

We eat here every trip and love the pizza! We always get a table upstairs and people watch out the window. The kids always look forward to the video games. There are a few there that you just don't see in many arcades.

I try to avoid TSPP at all costs, but my kids LOVE the arcade. We all hated the food we had there (think bad, bad frozen pizza), even the kids wouldn't eat it. It reminds me of a warehouse full of over-priced arcade games with a food service counter. Try not to go at peak meal times - it is CRAZY loud in there! I don't remember TSPP from in the movie but my kids said it wasn't the same.

Just my 2 cents.

I know I'm usually in the monority here, but we enjoy the pizza at PP. The salad always seems to hit the spot. The kids of course love the Arcade, which isnt the highlight for me, but its usually a nice cool break. :thumbsup2

I pretty much think most of the pizza at Disney is pretty gross. But I don't have that much of a problem with the pizza at TSPP. Really, it's not horrid. Horrid is that mickey shaped frozen pizza I can buy at the grocery store. I'd say this is like, little cesars. The garden salad is 90% iceberg lettuce, with some tomatoes, etc. You pick your own packet of Ken's salad dressing. Pizzas are "junkyard" aka veggie, buzz and woody's (i can't remember which is which), one is pepp and one is cheese. All three come with the salad. I'd personally go for the cookie over the mickey RKT, they're ok but the cookies are better. Of course, I usually get the RKT b/c it is portable, and I'm never hungry for dessert.

It's a cute arcade for the kids and a nice, cool place in the ever-hot DHS. DF and I like to eat upstairs, but then again, we don't have kids. Your son will like it, and you'll like the break.

We went for the first time last year (trying to go in with open minds as we had read so much negative about this place). Wow, we were pleasantly surprised. Maybe we got there on a special day, but the pizza was really good. And I really wanted to hate it but I couldn't. The arcade part was really annoying but we sat upstairs so it didn't bother us. Your ds may be disappointed because it doesn't resemble anything like Pizza Planet (which is a shame because they could do so much more with it).

We went our first trip in '99 and swore we'd never go back. We did this past summer and boy has the pizza gotten better!!! I'd say to give it a whirl...besides if your son is a big fan, he'll be happy and that's what a trip to Disney is all about, isn't it?

There's going to be people who love it, and people who hate it. In my opinion you should go there and see if you like it. :)

We went b/c DS2.5 is a BIG time Toy Story fan. We knew it was a must for him. The pizza was fine, not horrible but not outstanding. There a some arcade games there. There is a claw game filled w/Pixar toys. DH & DS tried to get a Buzz. Will we go again? Probably not.

My 3 kids are all big Toy Story fans & they all love it! Food is ok, what you'd expect from counter service. You should definitely not miss it if your child likes Toy Story. Word of advice - bring quarters! We only had our key to the world card & assumed that we could charge anything to our room - doesn't apply to video games! Had to make a second trip that week :rotfl2:

My family has had lunch at TSPP many times and I've always enjoyed it! I guess I really like that you can get a salad with your pizza. Also, my mom is a celiac and they are able to make gluten free pizza over at Mama Melrose which is wonderful because she can have a great meal without worrying about getting sick! :)

We ate here on both of our past trips and we really liked the pizza..We didn't go inside to play because there was always something else the kids were wanting to do. :cool1:

I've never had a problem with the pizza there.;)

If he is a huge Toy Story fan, you might want to make a little side trip to the All Star Movies resort and visit the Toy Story section. Some great photo ops there.:thumbsup2

WOW we liked the place, it reminded me of pizza hut pizza and we all thought it was good, and I am pretty picky. Hmmmm. The salad could have used some help just plain ole iceberg but the pizza was thick crust with alot of cheese and tasted good IMO.

Here are some pics of TSPP

My family loves this place and is our counter service meal of choice while at HS(MGM)

My family likes Pizza Planet too, no it's not identical to the movie, but it's as close as you're going to get to it anywhere! I agree that the pizza is really not bad, greasy yes, but it's pizza! It's easy to share a pizza and salad b/t two people.

I really suggest going here way earlier than (like before 11:15) lunch time or way later than lunch times (like later than 2), otherwise, it can get a little hectic and crazy with long lines, crazy kids and arcade games.
