Pizzeria Regina is supposedly the original and the best, unfortunately I work in Boston and have lived in the area of 13 years and have yet to try it, when we're in the North End, we're instead doing one of the italian resturants or Mike's Pastry.
Google only comes up with a photo of the outside of the building.
We will have 5 college kids with us for a total of 7 in our party. Hoping to get seated all together.
Figured we would walk over to Mikes after Pizza for lunch.
Ernestos has a photo of inside, think we'll try that when there are only 4 of us.
Not sure of the seating in the North End but there is also a Pizzeria Regina in Faneuil hall. There is counter service in the main foodcourt and then they also have a full restaurant downstairs. Its only a few minute walk from the North End and probably somewhere you'll be visiting anyways with teenagers.
Another idea for lunch is Umberto's they're only open for a few hours I believe but it's a great experience. I also love Ernesto's and only get 1 slice because it's actually 2 There are other great bakeries besides Mike's. Try Modern & Lyndell's they are also on Hanover St. and very good!
Regina's has tons of seating so it's better for your party size. I like Erneso's more but my husband prefers Regina's. Mike's is better than Modern - we both agree on this. I'm sure there are better pizza places to recommend but when we do the North End I usually always get chicken parm regardless of where we are! I also like the Italian bakery located at one of those little kiosks in Quincy Market. Their choco mousse is amazing!
