3 dollars per trip if he is quick. If he is late and the food is cold we were not delivered to first. If the food is hot and he is late it was probably not his fault, no penalty.

I'm sure I overtip because I used to deliver pizzas and feel for the drivers. I never tip less than $5. Most of the time I round up to the nearest whole number so if our total is $23.49 I give the driver $30.
To the poster who said the drivers only deliver and don't do any of the other work, I would say don't assume that is always the case. I also worked at two Domino's and here when we had down time we absolutely washed dishes, answered the phones, folded boxes, and boxed the pizzas coming out of the oven. The insiders never worked til closing (maybe due to their ages) so the manager and two drivers had to completely close up including the dishes and mopping the floor. The only think I never did was prepare the dough.
When I delivered pizza for Pizza Hut (many years ago), I got min wage... I did NOT get any of the money that they charged the customer for the delivery fee. I also did not get anything extra for using my own car. That's why we were paid min wage.
I ALWAYS tip delivery people. Probably because I was one once.....
At least 2 bucks. I base it on the total bill. not per pizza.
Yep, but of course, I've never taken cabs in Vegas or NYC! The ones I've ever taken charge a regular rate per mile for the first person, then a reduced rate for the 2nd, 3rd, etc. Except in DC they charge based on zones, not miles.
I always tip about 7 bucks and I usually only order 1 pizza. I started doing this in college because the delivery guys knew who the good tippers were and they always got their pizzas first (I lived in a dorm where many pizzas got delivered) After awhile of repeated good tips I started seeing extras thrown in like cinnamon sticks, buffalo wings and the such. In fact one night I ended up with a free pizza because the person who ordered it didn't have the money to pay for it so they called their boss and he said well see if one of our regulars wants it and let them have it. I also tip those who serve me food at a restaurant really well too and have had a couple of waitresses ask to take care of us when they see us in the restaurant.
