pizza coupons for HIFS

It is your use of phrases like coupon cutting moms and pizza party crowd. And also BMW/Rolex crowd, and such that come off as so offensive. If you could have phrased your statements in your first thread more like you are phrasing them now, I think people would have been less offended and would have felt less need to attack back.

Next time you are looking for a vacation destination, remember that you cannot go on opinions, but look for the ammenities that mean the most to your family. That is why this board is so great. People will answer your silliest questions about a resort. I have gotten such good information from these boards and have never been surprised by anything when I got to a resort. These people are so helpful.

I agree if the HIFS charges more, they COULD upgrade. That does not mean they will. I do not see what all they could do to make it a standard rate of close to $200. They hotel industry is way too competitive in Orlando. That is why the rates fluctuate so much.

BoltJames Although I agree with many of your posts, posters like from Canada have a VERY VALID POINT. Holiday Inn is not an upscale chain. It's not designed to attract the rolex crowd. I suspect the quality and current prices is in line with what you should expect from a holiday inn property.

Not sure how much of your posts are a "put on" but on who in their right mind expects a holiday inn to be an upscale property? Is the pizza even worth eating for free?

Now if HIFS rebrands to a Crowne Plaza when they finish the rethemeing you might have a point. Right now HIFS seems to have found their pricing niche.

This guy just doesn't get it and he probably never will and that is all I have to say about him. But, I really hope this doesn't turn others off to this hotel. Last May after research on these boards I chose to stay at HIFS and was pleased with the place. It is not perfect, the food is not all that wonderful, and lacking in enough elevators but I have stayed in more expensive and upscale places and found that they are not perfect either. I felt that the info that I read on these boards were very accurate. We will be staying there again in a few days. Last year my DH was not with us so this will be his 1st time staying there. I consider myself somewhat picky but he is more so. I will be sure to post BOTH of our opinions when we return.

On a $5000 vacation, what's another $300 to get the hotel up to par?

Is that what everyone spends for a week in WDW for a family of 5? (no WDW tickets for the infant) Seems like he could have stayed in a Deluxe for that much. I'm wondering if he overpayed for more than just the hotel. There is me, DH, DS4, DS16 and a friend going and we are paying just a little over half of that.

I cannot believe that BoltJames is on this thread. Didn't you already have your say? The OP of this thread was just asking for coupons, why should it bother it so. I think LewisC is correct in claiming that you are a fraud, and you just want to stir things up, why, is beyond me! It occurs to me that if you did have the wealth and position you claim to have, how on earth could you have thought that a Holiday Inn was going to be a 4 star hotel? I don't care how many posts I've read about HIFS, I never in my wildest dream would expect a Holiday Inn to be anything more than a good value hotel for families on a budget, I'm sorry but I'm just a lowly single mom and legal secretary, who has raised a daughter by myself and I have known to be a "coupon cutter" and "bargain hound" or whatever it was the derogatory statements you made before, and I would NEVER have paid $184 for ANY stay at a Holiday Inn, I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and was able to (hold on to your seat) get a deal where I only paid $99 a night, in the middle of July. So either you're a fraud or not very smart to have paid so much. I think that's what has you so angry, you messed up so you have to blame someone!. Coming to these boards and insult all these nice people just because they posted their opinion on a particular hotel, which you interpretated your own way, makes you a very sad person, I guess the saying is true, "misery loves company" and you are definitely trying to make these folks miserable with all your rants! Enough already. If you don't agree with the pizza coupon deal why not just skip reading that thread, its definitely not the only one here, don't read about them and CHILL OUT already, you're going to give yourself a heart attack!
