Can anyone fill me in on pizza delivery at Animal Kingdom Kidani Villas please?!? I thought I read that Giordano's and some others would deliver to Kidani because it is at the base of Disney property and falls in their mileage boundaries. Where could I find a list of local pizza places that will deliver to Kidani Village? I also thought that Disney room service had pizza available at all resorts but I couldn't find a menu for that either. Is the Disney pizza better than the local pizza places and is it overpriced? ( We are from just outside Chicago so "good" pizza is very important to us..haha) Also wondering on wait time-I know it will vary quite a bit depending on time and day of the week but is Disney generally quicker than ordering from a local restaurant offsite? Thanks for any and all advice-this will be our first trip without the DDP and I think we will do atleast one pizza night if not more!

I grew up in downstate Illinois. Do yourselves a favor and just order the Giordano's. You would be VERY disappointed in Disney resort pizza. The only good pizza served by the WDW resort is the one at Via Napoli.

My suggestion would be to order the Giordano's while on the bus back to Kidani from your day's activity- particularly if you get the deep dish. Just like home, it is well worth the wait.

Giordano's in Kissimmee is probably only a couple miles from Kidani. It takes a bit longer to get there because there isn't a straight road between the two- but it is very close.

Thank you for the input! There is nothing more disappointing than a terrible pizza after a long day at the parks :)

When they deliver is there a problem with Disney allowing the delivery guy through the gate? Do they come up the room and knock or do we need to meet them out front of the resort/lobby area? Thanks again!

Never had onsite delivery, you need to ask the restaurant what their policy is.

I will caution everyone that it is well known that some of the flyers being distributed inside WDW are not from legitimate companies. Over the years guests have reported ordering from the flyer using their credit card and the food never showing up. Worse case their credit card number is soon being used to buy stuff online in another State.

I learned that when you want to have good pizza delivered, the best people to ask are the CMs who work the front desk. They know! Lol!

That said, when we are ordering pizza while at WDW, we order from Flippers. They have several locations in the Orlando area - but the one to use for AKV is the Rolling Oaks branch. Their number is 407-390-0552. (We used them twice in the past year.) Pretty sure you can find their menu online.

We lived in Chicago for a few years, and with all respect to a previous poster, we are not Giordano's fans. Too much goop for our taste. Flippers has a couple of different crusts to choose from, if you are particular.

They will take your cell number when you place the order, and when the delivery driver gets to the AKV gate, he/she will call you and give you a heads up. Then you just wait for them to drive up to the main entrance and voila! Pizza! :-)

FWIW - we always just pay with cash. :-)

Good luck!

They can only deliver to the door at the DVC's with outside entrances (SSR and OKW) otherwise you have to meet them in the lobby.

Thanks for all the great input! I honestly don't know how I would plan a Disney trip without the boards!!! :cool1:

We used Flippers at Kidani this past June, as it was recommended by the CM at the front desk and I had read good reviews on this board.
It was good!

Thanks for asking this question. More down time this trip, means we finally might have some time to relax and have a pizza delivered.

One of our favorite traditions is to have a chill pizza delivery night. Nothing beats relaxing after a long day in the park with pizza and a cold beer :)
