1. We are having his Birthday Dinner at Mama Melrose and even though they aren't going to have Characters or anything SW we are having a SW cake and Balloons delivered after dinner. Could you do a SW Version of Mama Melrose?...

alayne, it was hard to come up with an idea for this card... to make it Star Wars-ish without looking like a character meal but then an idea popped into my head... and it works splendidly... thanks R2!! DH questioned me on where one should write on the card... write around R2 but you can write on the blue beam like normal, consider it to be just another part of the journalling space - imagining that as it's just light you can see your writing through it

2 versions of this card - a generic Mama Melrose's card because I didn't already have one and your birthday dinner version. Enjoy!

PaulaMarie, here are your cards for IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party. It's just journal cards for this one, I couldn't think of a filler design Actually from googling it looks like there is a pretty splendid looking Art-Deco-ish cover on the dessert party menu but I couldn't find any high-res crisp versions of it to play with. If you go to the party I would recommend taking a good photo of the menu - you could use it as a great filler card. That's ok. You can do it without his name. I will make it work. Yes we are getting really close. My friend is working on covering all the pages in the smash book with star wars paper. I'm trying to download that kit you told me about. I was super busy at work today and didn't get a chance to look at it.

Can you use the same Royal Hall clipart bigger in the middle of the card with the edge the same? Is the clipart even good enough quality for that? If not, unless a flash of inspiration hits you the journaling cards are great and I will be very happy with those.

Ah ha sirvin12, thank you... see I just needed to be asked a question "Is the clipart even good enough quality for that?"... and to think of my answer "No... I extracted it from a random online photo so it's quite small, so I'd have to heavily treat it to mask the blurriness if I enlarge it.... blah de blah de blah.... oh wait I could add it to the knight's scroll and the canvas effect would hide the blur.... blah de blah de blah" and so on.... hope you like it! The logo is not perfect but it prints nicely - it actually looks better printed than it does on the screen - because it looks huge on the computer
