I read you use binder clips to attach it, but was wondering if you could be a little more specific about how you do it?

Do you fold the Reflectix over the seam a little bit or anything like that?

We got the Reflectix and after my husband was done cutting it for each bunk, it ended up being a bit short, so we sort of have to tug it to get it to the second end after we attach the first one.

As a result, during our tests here in the yard, if the wind picks up at all, they are blowing off. Obviously we don't want that happening at the Fort!

I bought a smaller roll of Reflectix and am going to attach a piece to each cover to make it a little longer, but was wondering how long it needs to be? Long enough to fold over a little bit, or just long enough to easily reach from end to end?

Thanks anyone who can help!

I'm interested to see how this works as well since Pixiecamper posted onto one of my threads about using the Reflectix I have no idea how to even do it.. lol

The idea is to cut panels of the Reflectix to cover the top of your bunks to help reflect the sun back and keep it from heating up the camper too much. Some people also cut panels to put in their window openings as well, in between the screen and the interior canvas/covers but I don't know if we'll be doing that.

Anyway, I added an additional length of Reflectix to our panels so that they overhang the edge of the bunks and then clipped them onto the top seams of the bunk, folding the Reflectix over and sort of pinching it on the seam with my fingers until I got the clips on.

Mother Nature obligingly opened up with a windy rain storm when I was done putting them on, and so far, all 3 have stayed put!

OMG that is funny! Love the bathtub in the camper!! :lmao:
