We just got back and I haven't made my way through all the posts - forgive me if this is old news, but I wanted to tell you about our experience seeing Tink in Toontown! I had read about the long lines, so I figured, if we were going to do it, we had to do it right at rope drop. I didn't even tell my kids about meeting Tink - I didn't want them to be disappointed if the lines were too long!
So - our first MK morning was morning EMH for MK. Park opened at 8am and I had planned to get in line at the Toontown rope around 9:15am. I saw people already gathering at the Toontown rope around 9am - and I decided to get in line anyway. I sent DH to the teacups with the kids and told him to call my cell to check status.
They dropped the Toontown rope at 9:00am. They didn't walk us to the fairies - there was a spirited brisk half-jog by the crowd to the tent! (No one was in danger of getting trampled that I saw) But everyone was on the move! I got in line - we were told it was 30-45 minutes from seeing fairies. They would NOT say who was there. (I'm not sure anything else in Toontown was up and running at 9am, maybe just the fairies)
I talked to a CM and they said the fairies HAD started greeting (but the princesses hadn't) - so we weren't just waiting in line for a closed door, the meet-n-greet was really started. It was more like a 30 minute wait. DH had time to take the kids to teacups and Pooh - then joined us in line.
We got to see Tinkerbell and Iridessa. They were very charming, we did not feel rushed - but it wasn't much more than a meet-n-greet (a little chat, pictures, autographs, hugs). My girls were very happy!

) and the kids were over the top excited about meeting the fairies. I hope the photopass pics come out well.
