Pixie Hollow advice

We're taking my nieces to Disneyland for the first time this coming December 12-16. We will have park hoppers. One of my nieces told me that ever since she saw a video about the making of pixie hollow she's always wanted to go. PH and HM are the two things she requested to make sure we do. So any advice on what would be the best day/time to head over there and not spend forever in line? Our usual strategy is to go ride PP first thing.

When we took our daughters years ago, PH was still new so there were long lineups pretty much all day and Tink was pretty grumpy by the time we got there (don't really blame her, I stood in the line with some of those unruly children... eeks!). But I think it's better now. I remember seeing lines of about 30 minutes during our last trip. Thankfully they post the estimated wait time just outside so I recommend checking it out whenever you walk by and if it looks short, go for it. It really is beautiful in there and even though Tink was near the end of her patience, the other fairies we saw were wonderful!

Go in the morning. Find out what time it opens and go in the first hour. Even if the line looks short, it moves slowly. Also consider asking the CM if one of Tink's fairy friends will be there. Most of the time you get to meet Silvermist or another friend, but occasionally just Tink. You might want to come back later if it's just Tink. Other than that it's very straightforward.

Sorry, that might not have been clear. By find out when it opens, I meant Pixie Hollow, not the whole Park. It doesn't necessarily open when the park does.

I agree - get there when pixie hollow opens or within the first 15 minutes. That line builds fast and is super slow and boring. I would even say go even if it's just Tink and try later to see if there's another. One time we skipped when there was no wait for Tink and came back for the other friend and the line was 45 minutes.

I'm not sure when it opens.
You might check PH's hours on your first day in DL.

If you don't go through the line then at least you'll know when it would be best to fit into your schedule on another day.

We went to Pixie Hollow on Sunday October 5th. The park opened at 8am that day (with no early morning entry). We first went to get a return ticket for Anna and Elsa, then rode Peter Pan and then went back to meet Anna and Elsa. We were done with all that by around 8:40am and then we went to Pixie Hollow. By that time the line was around 15 minutes long. The line was somewhat interesting to wait in though because they have a lovely pond area with little fairy statues in it and shooting water spouts etc to watch while you wait. Once we were allowed to go through to meet Tinkerbell I wanted to take our time to wander through the themed Pixie Hollow area but we were encouraged to walk right through to get to Tinkerbell. She was the only fairy on duty that day so we didn't get to meet anyone else. She was great with our daughter and it was a highlight of her day. After we left we noticed that the line already looked longer and I have heard it can get quite long later in the day so going early is definitely a good plan.

Does anyone know if Tink has a holiday outfit like some of the other characters? Thanks!

We usually go in the summer, but we always go see Tink and even in the summer months if you get to pixie hollow within the first hour or so of it opening the line is usually not longer than about 20 minutes. Later in the day it is often 45 minutes or longer.

We went thru Pixie Hollow this past Saturday (10/25) around 2pm. We waited a little less than 30 minutes and saw Silvermist and Tink. We have met that same "friend of" Silvermist all but one time we've gone through PH over the last several years and she's really great (that one time we met Fawn instead of Silvermist).

not exactly a holiday outfit, but a winter one, from the lost treasure movie

when we went in mid January ( when it was slow season )and there was about a5minute wait.

Thank you, this is really helpful. We went on our last trip, but I remember the line being long (albeit very cute). We'll try to catch it in the morning on one of our days.
