Can all you guys send some pixie growing dust my dd's way?? She was 36 inches in October when we went to DL, and is 38 inches now... but we only have 3 more months until we go back to DL, and she wants to go on Splash! 2 more inches in 3 months... very possible at almost 4 years old, right?!

:tinker:

 Wow, that's a lot of growing in 1 year! :rotfl: I know my daughter's growth slowed down a lot between 3 and 4, but it sounds like maybe your DD had a growth spurt! I'll think lots of "growing" thoughts for her and hope she's able to get on! :goodvibes

I hope it happens for her! Here is something you might try:
b12 vitamins
Omega 3 vitamins
3 glasses of low fat milk a day
lots of water
minimal soda and sugar
carrot juice
magnisium oxide pills - you can get them at walgreens. This helps aid in the growth and strength of connective tissue(muscles) it also helps make stronger bones.
so that is my magic cocktail of pixie dust, just a thought!Good luck!!

go at the beginning of the day- you are taller when you wake up!

Wear bigger shoes? lol

I hear ya :) We're going in April and I thought there would be no way my little guy would make 40 inches...but we measured and he's 39 inches; so here's to hoping for a growth spurt!

Hee hee... I have thought about tall shoes!! :)

Thanks Corpsebride... I am hoping dd will get a bit taller, she's always been like the 15% on the growth charts... we do almost everything you listed already! But I could add carrot juice to the list pretty easily... she eats a ton of veggies as it is... but whats a few more.

We also just started gymnastics... maybe all the stretching they do will help!

:)

I know this is controversial... but when I was at Disneyland last time a little girl... probably around 4, was walking onto BTMR. The cast member stopped her and measured her and she was just the right height. But she had on little mary janes with at least a 1" chunky heel.

My daughter is only 18 months and I will bring an extra pair of shoes like that when she's on the brink of being tall enough for some of the "big rides".

And for the boys they have cowboy boots with chunky heels too. :upsidedow

I forgot, she can do a bobby brady and hang from the monkey bars.I tried that as a kid.
but for real,I also do yoga, and you can videos for yoga for kids, I know I stand taller when I do yoga. I hunch over a lot at work (tattooer) so after a long day I swear I am like the hunchback of Hollywood, lol.
Good luck to your DD! I think we are all"pullin" for her!
okay enough sillyness I have to get out of bed because I am going to..........
DISNEYLAND today!!! My DF is taking me to the house of mouse for valentines day.
Happy Valentines Day to you all!!!

pixiedust: Here's her pixie grow dust!!

I know they talk a lot about shoes for kids that are close on the WDW boards, I read a LOT of tips and info there if you can do a search. I think I even read about some folks putting lifts in their kids shoes!! Luckily, mine were 44" and 42" on the 5thbday, so no problems.....and they're still growing:scared1:

If dd is close, I will probably bring chunky shoes and just put them on for that ride, then put on her comfy shoes afterward. Its only Splash that she wants to go on... well now she says Space too... but I doubt I'll let her... she was great in October on every ride... even the Matterhorn... although she did not ask to do the Matterhorn a second time. I think mostly she'll really like the theming of Splash, and the big drop is so fast she shouldn't have to think about it too long!

My DD will be 4.5 when we go, and I don't think I'm going to try Space Mountain with her yet either. She's 42 inches, but I don't think she'll like it because of the dark. I'm glad to hear your DD liked the Matterhorn, because I plan on trying it with my DD in April.
