We got a phone call from our TA over the weekend concerning our 3/21/10 cruise. Disney called and wanted to know if we wanted an upgrade. We originally had a Catagory 9 Oceanview and were upgraded to a Category 6 Oceanview with verandah for $99. We are in room 6632. Has anyone been in that room on a previous cruise?

I guess "Pixie Dust" really does exist.

Have never stayed on Deck 6 but have had a room on Deck 5 just below that area (5628). It's a great location! Deck 6 is all staterooms so no worries on any through traffic.

Seems to be going around. We just got upgraded from a cat. 6 to a cat.4.....for FREE! Disney didn't contact us OR our TA about it so it was a nice surprise for us all!

Congrats on the upgrade! We've never been upgraded, but we've always had connecting staterooms with the exception of the upcoming 3/21/2010 cruise where we're in a Cat 4 for Kids Sail Free. Any upgrade now would be to a Suite which I would assume never happens.

No worries though -- we've thoroughly enjoyed our rooms on each and every cruise!!

Awesome upgrade!! You now have a Verandah!! I can't comment on any rooms since I've never cruised on Disney. Just wanted to say Congrats!

I have a Cat. 6 booked for Sept, and would love to be upgraded, but not counting on it. I'm just happy to be finally going.

We have been upgraded twice from a cat 4 to a Suite. You only have 24 hours to accept it so make sure Disney and/or your travel agent has a cell phone number for you.

GOOD-4-YOU , IN SEPT. we got " P. D'ed. from a cat 8 to cat 6 , room 6600 w/ no extra cost, it was GREAT, never had a " v. '' B-4. HAPPY SAILING.

We stayed in 6628 before and loved the location. This December we requested the same room and got it. Really enjoyed this area of the ship. It was close to the elevator, but not too close that you heard noise from the elevator.
