Pixie Dust & Prayer Power Needed

Given that we have all witnessed the power of the DIS Unplugged prayers, I am now coming to you in hopes that maybe you'll send out a prayer, good thought, vibe, light a candle, whatever you can for my father in law, Jerry. He was diagnosed last week with pancreatic cancer. He's been in a great deal of pain and will now start a round of radiation and chemo. We have great hope that these two treatments will rid him of this disease or at least extend his life for a few more quality years, but we are all fully aware of the seriousness of pancreatic cancer as well.

So, if you have it in ya to add another person to your list, I would surely appreciate it and I know my father in law will be very grateful.

I know how catastrophic such a diagnosis can be - my MIL was diagnosed with it just two days before DH & I got married. Stay strong and know that we're all sending good wishes his way. The DIS prayer chain is an amazing thing...

My thoughts are with him and your family. My step-mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August. She is doing radiation and chemo right now. Its been a very emotional time for my family. Try to remain positive and keep his spirits up.

pancreatic cancer is very difficult, but statistics are just averages and mean absolutely nothing....
every person is unique, every person has their own outcome......
it's important to not let someone who has been diagnosed with cancer dwell on those statistics ......many many many people do much much better than what the statistics predict....

in one thing your father in law is very lucky.....he has you...
