Prayers from Central Mass coming your way....all the way to Jayson's heart....be strong Jayson, we'll pray for you extra long tonight.....

Saying prayers and sprinkling pixie dust for Jayson and your family. Thanks for the update.

Prayers and many well-wishes going out tonight for baby Jayson and his family
Here's hoping all goes well with the surgery and before too long the little one will be running down Main Street !

Saying prayers for Jayson & also for his parents that they have faith & strength.

One year on Dec. 5 my nephew was born seemingly healthy. Then the day after Christmas my sister found out he has cystic fibrosis. We were all devastated, but have said our prayers & so far for someone with such a life threatening disease he has been healthy - so those prayers work!! We still say them every night!

Prayers going out to your nephew Melsmice...that he continues to do well.

Lots and lots of Pixie dust and prayers!
My oldest son had two heart defects (one of which was coarctation of the aorta, like your nephew) detected before he was born. He had his 1st surgery the day he was born and the second 8 days later. Today he is a perfect and healthy 5 year old, looking forward to his first trip Home (and 5 th trip to Disney). I know how his parents feel and they are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Goferit,

I, too, am the parent of a heart kid. My son was born with a very serious mixed cyanotic defect known as Truncus Arteriosus. He was initially operated on at Boston Children's at one day old. He's done far, far better than anyone ever predicted, but it hasn't all been easy. He'll need several more surgeries, most likely one this year.

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Please feel free to PM me if I can be of ANY support or assistance. Having been there, I know what your BIL and SIL are in for. My sons illness was the precise reason we purchased into DVC. The memories are priceless.

God Bless,

Kristie

UPDATE 12/20/03

ONce again, thanks to all for the prayers passed Jayson's way... and once again, keep them coming.

Jayson's surgery went well; however, complications have set in. He is running a high fever (103-104) and the drs have taken blood samples to determine if/what type bacterial infection may have set in. Meanwhile, they are treating the symptoms and giving him a broad-spectrum antibiotic.

Please keep him / his family in your thoughts.

I am a "heart baby" myself. My condition was not as severe, so I was able to wait till age 13 for surgery. Like kristielee's DS, I had my surgery at Boston Children's. They did a great job -- thirty-six years later I'm still going strong!

Santa, don't forget a load of pixie dust for Jayson :sunny:
