Pixie dust on our DREAM vacation! Update 06/08 TR finished!!

All caught up again....student teaching has really interfered with my ability to keep up with the trip report:).

When you order drinks on the Castaway Cay beach, are they included in the cost of the cruise? I need a primer on what is included and what isn't....next year will be our first ever cruise.

Hi Karin
Just back from a week long business trip so I had a lot to catch up on!
Wonderful photos as always
We are really excited to try Remy next month but I would hate to feel rushed.
We always like to have a bit of a rest between courses so I hope that's the case when we visit
Serenity Bay looks like heaven :)
Can't wait to grab a Konch Kooler!

Remy looked incredible- we will definitely do that when we sail in Nov 2013 (I'm going to book a 3 night for the 4 of us- Tyler will be in his Junior year of High School, so really can't miss any days. The dates when school is closed work out for a 3 night.) The wine does fill you up, tho- that's why we never have room for dessert! :goodvibes Four weeks from tomorrow I'll sail on the Dream for the first time!! Very excited!! :yay:

I love your detailed Remy review and definitely want to try it on our Fantasy cruise next year.
I just hate this typical speed dining, but I guess that most customers prefer it.

Thank you!
I am sure you are going to enjoy it. We will definitely do Remy again in the summer. It was quite an experience and we the food was very good. I hope to get an earlier time, to have more natural light for better photos, though!
Yes, the Disney dining "times" are far too fast for us Europeans who can linger over a meal for hours. :thumbsup2

Tell me about real life getting in the way of our DIS life! ;)

The drinks that go with the barbeque are free, any speciality drinks you order at the beach or on the ship come with a price tag. But they are very yummy and worth it. :goodvibes

Welcome back, Linda!

I am sure you will like Remy. Just let them know that you are not at a speed eating contest! :rotfl2:

Ahhhh, so envious that you will be at CC next month! ;) And I hope you take a gazillion photos of the Fantasy - I'll have to wait another year and 4 months until we get to cruise on her. :thumbsup2

You are not old enough to have such grown kids!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

Great Castaway Cay updates! It is such a gorgeous island and you got some fantastic pictures of Serenity Bay! Those drinks you ordered look very refreshing and delicious - do you know what the ingredients were?

Day 4, February 21

“Is that Captain Jack over there?“ - Part 3

We were both soaking in the sun when our eyes caught someone.

Captain Jack!!!

He was walking the beach stopping at every group of people, talking to them and posing for photos.

It was amazing, how they kept people entertained, even though you could not swim too much.
By midday we walked over to the barbeque station. I just love the salads they have and loaded my plate with plenty of it.

IMG_3599.jpg

Tom did the same and only when we got to the table did we realize that they provided real plates and real cutlery at this station!

Tom went back and got some more

salad and a steak, while I got myself some

grapes and pineapple and

Chocolate Chip Cookies. We sat there for quite some time enjoying the food and the beautiful day.
After lunch we stopped for a biological break and then headed back to our chairs. More sunscreen and a little while later we decided to “brave” the sea, seeing that some people actually did swim.

To be continued ..........

Those konk koolers look lovely, perfect cool down.

Captain Jack :thumbsup2

Happy Easter.

Happy Easter to you too! :goodvibes

We just love the Konk Koolers, so yummy!
And Captain Jack was such a wonderful surprise to see! He walked up to all the people on the beach and at least asked them a question or two. How fun is that!

I love the picture of the bunny!! So cute :) Happy Easter to you!

More great pictures of CC. I love that Captain Jack is walking along the beach, I hope they are still doing that when I go on my cruise!

Ah, Karin, this is making miss the beach so much. We had a wonderful time while we were at Serenity Bay. We rented one of the Cabanas with a group of people and it was beyond wonderful. If you ever get the chance I would recommend renting one.

And I loved it that Captain Jack came around. How fun is that! What a character he is. ;)

And yes, having two more cruises booked is so exciting. We are looking very forward to the one next March. We are taking our girls, as they will both be on Spring Break that week, and they can't wait to see the Dream.
