I need some cheering up! I can no longer have the coach because of the rubbish exchange rate that had affected so much of my wedding. I'm sooooooo sad I really had my heart set on it. I'd taken loads of stuff out so I could have it, and now I'm not having the coach and I've still lost all my other fancy extra's. It's so unfair if I'd have got married last year, my wedding would've been so different. :sad2: :sad1: Everytime I see a picture of the coach I want to cry.

I understand, I also gave up the coach for my wedding. It was just too expensive... I know how disappointing it can be to let go of something you've wanted for your wedding so much.

I can guarantee you, though, that you're wedding will be amazingly wonderful even without the coach.

Aww Im sorry you had to get rid of the coach. Your wedding will still be beautiful and you get to marry the love of your life!

I'm so sorry that you have to give up the coach! :sad2: I know exactly how you feel about having to give things up. But just think you still have your DF and you're getting married in the happiest place on earth! Here a little extra pixie dust coming your way.... :tinker: Cheer up!

Im so sorry! I realllllly wish the coach were a little more affordable. Not even affordable, a little expensive would be understandable to me but I really feel that is it "ridiculously" overpriced in comparison to other options!

Have you considered maybe doing the Landeau Coach? It is also really beautiful! Or one of the other options than the standard limo?

How far away is your wedding? Is it possible to save up in time or raise the money?

Really, my heart goes out to you! I hope you can work it out!

 I'm sorry. Don't worry you will have an amazing wedding!

Im so sorry or you! I know exactly what you are going through because we havent even booked the wedding and already we are thinking of how we can cut down the price because of the stupid exchange rate. We thought that our Disney wedding would be fab- the works- and all for sooo cheap when the dollar was $2 to the £1- and thinking it will only cost us like 8k... if only the rate had stayed the same. We are constantly thinking about having to change things and cutting our guest list and thinking of money savers all because of the exchange rate.

I also have my heart set on it, i have said i will not have it if we cant afford it, and the way it looks now i dont think it will be possible. Is there any way you can get the cash or borrow from someone / take out a small loan so you can have the coach. After all, its your dream, you only get married once and you can always pay off that someone for the loan after the wedding? I have read about people regrets on here and i would try and do everything you can to get your dream.

I wish i could help you! If i won the lottery i would get it for you!! hehe!! I want to see happy Disney brides!!

I had the coach but I talked myself out of it. I just thought it would eat into my time with the photographers and is way too expensive. Plus I am kind of OCD or something and those navy seats were killing me with my color scheme. :rotfl: I just figure it will be fab regardless. :goodvibes

Just curious - does DL Paris offer weddings? With France being closer is the exchange rate better and allow you to have more? I know the park is notthe same but for me the magic was the same.

I didnt have the coach because of money and we have the landau and it was fantastic. ok not cindys coach but still it was amazing and you dont see many weddings with it, maybe try for that one. Its $1000 cheaper

DLparis do not offer weddings so not really an option for us ladies in the UK

We UK brides really have picked the worse time to get married. I'm sure your wedding will be lovely still :wizard:

Yeah it really is the worst time for UK brides, I paid $9,000 for my wedding last week with the exchange rate at 1.35!!!! Plus, we have to save for flights and everything as well!

Thanks guys, I know my wedding will still be lovely because I have seen all your's without the coach, and they still look great! It's just something I wanted right from the begginning :sad1:

dakcp2001, unfortunately my wedding is less than 3 months away, and I've already paid the bulk. We wouldn't have time to save up anyway, I only graduated uni in sept and we're saving up all our money from then. We have no savings or anything.

malibustacey, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Orangetiggs, I would love to have the other coach, but we can't afford that either. We had to get our BEO down to $11,000!

I totally agree that 2009 is proving to be a very tough year for uk brides with the cra*py exchange rate :sad2: . Every time we pay for something we seem to be getting a weaker rate especially in comparison to what we would of paid this time last year:headache: . How can you budget when you ve no clue what the rate is gonna be doing??:confused3
In the space of a week we sent 2 payments of equal amounts to Disney, within literally a few days we paid nearly £40 more just due to the change in rate  .
Luckily we ve manage to keep everything we had originally wanted which inc's Landau Carriage, Grand 1 plus things for the honeymoon like Dolphins at Depth although its cost so much more.

The stress of planning a wedding plus the uncertainty of costs is a nasty combination, one that unfortunatly we re all in the same boat with:mad: . All we can hope is that the £ will start to strengthen against the $ & that way hopefully those of you who ve had to rethink certain items can then go back to plan "A":thumbsup2
