I think everyone, if you go to WDW long enough, has experienced a bad or disappointing trip. Whether it's due to changing policies, crowds or other issues, once you get in that negative/frustration zone, it's tough to break out. I've been going to WDW since the early '80s...and love the place dearly. But I remember 1 trip in particular that felt bad...just letting everything get to me...annoyed at crowds, rude people...disappointed in things that didn't go my way. Frustrated at the hot weather in Dec when I was hoping for cooler weather....just wasn't in a "happy place" at all that trip. I decided that was it...time for a long break. And when I returned a few years later after some hard times and losing two dear family members, it was with a totally diff perspective. I was so grateful to be there, so happy about the little things...frankly so thrilled to be done with doctors and hospitals and sadness and in a place where none of that existed, it was like WDW was brand new to me again. But I needed that distance, time and a changing life perspective to make me see it differently and make it easier to shake off some of the less-than-magical moments.
