My dad is scheduled to have surgery on Monday morning to remove a benign tumor from his chest wall. It's not too serious of a problem, but it's pressing on his trachea and esophogus and causes a little cough and the feeling that he's not completely swallowing his food. He was given the option to wait until January, but he's tired of the waiting and anticipation and wants it done now!
We're hoping to have him home by Christmas Eve morning, and we're planning to do all of our Christmas meals at my parent's house since he will have to stay home. I don't mind doing Christmas differently this year. I just want my dad to be OK! If you have any extra pixie dust, please toss it his way!
