Thanks to Ain't It Cool News, the first trailer for Pixar's Summer 2007 release, Ratatouille has been spotted on the Internet. This film is about a rat who lives in the kitchen of Paris restuarant. And, unfortunetly, the trailer is all in French.

The trailer can be found at http://www.cinoche.com/trailers/2382/2522 for Quicktime users, or at http://www.cinoche.com/trailers/2382/2523 for Windows Media Player.

The english language version of the trailer should be attached to Cars.

Ain't It Cool News has posted a translation of the trailer at http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=23433 . BE WARNED - Ain't It Cool often contains offensive and childish language; it's inhabited by people waiting in line right now for the new X-Men movie (and you know how they can get).

That looks great. :thumbsup2

But do you think it was borrowed from Speedy Gonzalis :rotfl2: :lmao: Like Cars was borrowed.

Loved it! Laugh out loud funny. (Et mon francais n'est pas si mal que j'ai peur.)

Looks like a great movie!, I feel proud to be able to understand everything in that trailer. Thank you French Classes for four years in school.

I am not impressed, but I also thought the same thing after the incredibles and Cars trailers, but now I am hooked

Now we will find Pixar's value. On the surface, and reading about the story, this movie seems downright peculiar. But this clip makes me think...they may just make this work. When you get a cool story like this, which sounds bizarre, and you make it work... This could be real cool.

Thanks for the clip AV! :thumbsup2

This could be too bizarre. But I thought the Chicken Little idea was messed up but I liked that movie. So I guess we'll see. I suppose not matter what the premise is, if they writing is clever it could work I suppose.

I thought I read somewhere that Ratatouille was based of some Jewish Folklore?.... Is this true or am I just crazy?

What jewish folklore takes place in a Parisian restaurant?

I was only busting chops. Obviuosly, you meant the back story not the whole dang deal. Much like Lion King is really Hamlet or Toy Story is Midnight Cowboy. OK, maybe not that second one.

OT:

If you haven't made the switch over to HD yet, what are you waiting for?

These are being reduced by tinypic, but you still get the idea:
