Pixar Pier

Hi All,

We are thinking of heading out west for a California Adventure from NYC. Of course we planned to include Disneyland in our trip. As we have started to plan I see that a number of attractions are down for the new Pixar Pier. Does anyone known when it might be open? We are tentatively planning our trip for the 3rd or 4th week in July. Any opinions If that is a safe bet? We have never been to Disneyland before and I would hate to plan a trip if so much is still closed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'd hope Disney would have the project complete by then. The only thing I've heard is Summer 2018.
I'd go with the 4th week of July to be safe.

I keep hearing summer of 08 as well but then April has been thrown around in there a bunch of times too. From my understanding and I could be wrong, but from what I have read it sounds like it's just a lot of cosmetic stuff more than anything.

Disney muddied the waters with their announcement of the Pixar Fest coming in April. That's when they plan to debut the new fireworks show at Disneyland and start the Pixar Play parade's Disneyland run and DCA's Paint the Night run. In a separate blog post, they also state: "Pixar Pier will open during the limited-time Pixar Fest celebration, which begins April 13." Note that this statement does not indicate how long the Pixar Fest celebration will run or on what date during this celebration Pixar Pier will open. My guess is that the Pixar Fest will run from April 13 through whatever Disney defines as the end of summer this year and the Pixar Pier will open whenever it is ready during that timeframe.
