Anyone going to the Celebrate the Seasons Parade in Pittsburgh tomorrow? I'm in it!!
Our band is performing Jingle Bells. We are the last band in the parade and our leading Santa through the parade. We are right in front of his float!!! YEAHHH!!! We can't wait!!
After this, our next band performance is in Disney World!!!

Did anyone see it on TV? It was so funny. One of the people in colorguard (it wasn't me, I swear) hit the camera man. Her face afterwards was hillarious. My parents taped it and I watched it 20 times laughing hysterically at it each time. It was too funny. And some guy ran through us. He totally ignored our instructor who was yelling "Don't run through them, please, Sir, don't run through them."
What would possess anyone to run through a bunch of girls swinging around 6 foot (technically the ones we used today were 5 1/2 feet, but whatever) long metal poles?
I just don't understand what some people are thinking.
We didn't make it downtown this year. My DS15 is in marching band (trumpet), and every competition I keep waiting for one of the girls in the guard to whack those judges with a flag or gun - they deserve it for the way they walk around you guys on the field, talking into their tape recorders! What school district are you in?
LOL. I want to do that workshop thing. LOL. That would be awesome!!! Of course, I am the Disney freak and anytime someone mentions something that has the slightest bit to do with disney, everyone looks at me. We had a set in our show that looked kind of like Mickey Mouse. Within the first couple days of guard camp, our instructor knew how much I loved Disney and she showed us the set. Everyone was like OMG, you will love it.
