Despite the nagging story of the Allegiant plane out of LAS that almost ran out of fuel not to long ago...

jumped on crazy low fares just offered out of PIT to Sanford for November.

How low you ask? Even after factoring in 2 checked bag fees and nuisance CC surcharge fee, it's less than what i've seen offered by SWA or Spirit over the last three months just for one person! 3 round trips/baggage = $330.

Didn't book seats, not exactly sure of how they assign if you don't. We will have a 5 y.o. child along, would like to think they won't separate her from an adult. plan on emaling them, didn't see a phone number contact on website.

Not thrilled with the extra drive from Sanford and hunt for cheap car rental but have a few months to try & pull one out.

Any Allegiant or Sanford hints are most appreciated!

Heard that on the news this morning (that Allegiant had started 2 weekly non-stops to Sanford) but don't know anything about the airline. Guess I will have to look into it more. Wonder if they charge for carryon bags too? I don't usually check anything . (looks like $15 for carryon if paid when you book, $50 if you wait until you get to the airport)

I have flown Allegiant several times and have had no problems. They do have a ton of annoying fees, but the end result price is always still much lower than other airlines. We always rent a car, so no transportation to Disney hasn't been an issue for us.

We have flown Allegiant a couple of times and it was completely uneventful. One thing to remember is that their checked luggage weight limit is 40lb, not 50lb (saw many people get caught up in that at the airport).

thanks all, having issues pricing car. Get error message w/Alamo indicating my drop off is when they don't have hours? guess i need to call and see if they have a drop box for keys.

I just looked at the website out of curiosity, I already have SW booked for December. They only fly Sunday and Thursday, I typically travel Saturday to Friday. The 12:11pm to Orlando isn't bad but the 9:21am return is too early, especially from Sanford.

All the rental companies have a method of after hours drop off (key drop usually) if you have an early flight that is before the rental office is open.
We returned a vehicle to Alamo at 5:00am last October and were expecting to have to use the key drop but there were attendants on site that checked our car back in. In May last year we had a Hertz rental booked and had an early flight, they had no one on site so we just used the drop box. Was kind of funny actually because almost an hour after our flight landed, I got an email of the car being checked in and my final bill (guess they finally opened at 9:00am)
