Pirates was open!!

We were so excited upon our first day at MK to find that Pirates was open just for that one day. The CM said they would be doing more sporadic openings like this one.

Oh my, that is great news! Maybe, just maybe, Pirates will be open for us one of our 10 days in June. We are taking my dad and he hasn't been to WDW in 20 years. His favorite ride is Pirates. It would be great for him to ride it again.

We leave in 2 days and we would love for POC to be open at some point!

Although WDW isn't supposed to open until July, DL's will be open late June.

I keep hoping they'll get done early or have a soft opening when we visit in late June.

Wonder how many times I can work in a stroll past POC before my family commits me?

We are taking my mom and dad in June who haven't been back there in 16 years! It was their favorite ride,too! They would be so excited if we hit it on the right day at the right time! Here's hoping for all of us!

We leave in 3 days too can't wait Hope it is open it is my favorite ride althought I prefer the disneyland version ....

We just got back, and yes we did get to ride it, BUT the CM said it is only open until the 'full' construction takes place. I think we rode it on April 30, and the impression I got is it was going to be shut down very soon. When I re-visited MK later in my trip, I didn't even think to look back to POC to see if it was still open or not.

The WDW site says PoC closed May 8th to May 31. So it makes sense it was open yesterday.

I just returned from my trip on Saturday May 6th and the PoC was only open on April 30th, which was an Emh night and we rode it twice that night because the Cms said it would be closed after that night. We came back to Mk Tues and it was indeed closed, but the gift shop was open.

Yes it was planned to be open during April all along between the 1st and 2nd phase of the Refirbishment/Changes. It will be closed now until the July 7th Opening.

It sounds like they were there before the end of the month and just had a chance to say that it was open. I've seen the boats and they aren't in the building anymore. If I can get by there again I will get some pictures of the boats high and dry in the STOLport.
